These insoles will be designed based on an innovative tablet-based app designed by industry partner Kintec Footlabs, who will be the provider of the insoles for this project. Using the high-fidelity 3D scanning tool available (Apple's True Depth sensor), the Epitek Self-Scanner app captures tens of thousands of 3D data points within a single 1-second capture, and then uploads this foot data to a secure patient record system that is used for insole fabrication. The LWAS insoles will be comprised of variable density material (more dense laterally than medially) and milled directly to produce a full-length shell. The 6 degree wedge will be incorporated along the full lateral length of the insoles.",[15],[29],{"name":30,"role":31,"phone":32,"phoneExt":24,"email":33},"Natasha Krowchuk","CONTACT","604-822-7948","natasha.krowchuk@ubc.ca",[35],{"facility":36,"status":37,"city":38,"state":39,"zip":40,"country":41,"countryCode":42,"cosmosGeoPoint":43,"geoPoint":48,"contacts":49},"Motion Analysis and Biofeedback Laboratory","RECRUITING","Vancouver","British Columbia","V5R 3N9","Canada","CA",{"type":44,"coordinates":45},"Point",[46,47],-123.11934,49.24966,{"lat":47,"lon":46},[50],{"name":30,"role":31,"phone":51,"phoneExt":24,"email":24},"6048227948",{"type":53,"investigatorFullName":54,"investigatorTitle":55,"investigatorAffiliation":5,"oldNameTitle":24,"oldOrganization":24},"PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR","Michael Hunt","Professor",[57,59],{"name":58,"class":6},"Western University",{"name":60,"class":6},"Dalhousie University","100535387","a-multi-centre-study-of-shoe-worn-insoles-and-knee-osteoarthritis-100535387",false,"NCT06251167","A Multi-centre Study of Shoe-worn Insoles and Knee Osteoarthritis","A Multi-centre Feasibility Study Assessing Shoe-worn Insoles to Improve Clinical and Biomechanical Features of Knee Osteoarthritis","MULTIWEDGE","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* medial tibiofemoral OA defined as definitive osteophytes and joint space narrowing in the medial compartment, as confirmed with radiographs\n* history of knee pain longer than 6 months\n* average self-reported knee pain of at least 3 out of 10 (using an 11-point numerical rating scale with terminal descriptors of 0 = \"no pain\" and 10 = \"worst pain imaginable\") over the 6 months prior to baseline testing\n* pain in the same foot\u002Ffeet as the painful knee(s)\n* ability to communicate in English\n* show an immediate biomechanical response to the insoles.
