Manche","Principal Investigator","100253327","an-evaluation-of-lasik-smile-and-prk-surgery-in-physicians-100253327",false,"NCT02576483","An Evaluation of LASIK, SMILE and PRK Surgery in Physicians","An Evaluation of Quality of Vision and Quality of Life With LASIK, SMILE and PRK Surgery in Physicians","Inclusion criteria.\n\n* 21 years or older.\n* A physician or medical student.\n* Have the ability to give informed consent.\n* Speak and read English fluently.\n* Have not previously had any form of refractive surgery, including prior LASIK or cataract surgery.\n* May benefit from increased spectacle independence.\n* Have been determined to be a good candidate for the LASIK, SMILE or PRK procedure based on the investigator's assessment of medical and ophthalmic health, general cognitive function, and physical and social limitations.\n* Have a treatment target of bilateral emmetropia.\n* Express willingness and potential ability to return for all follow-up examinations through the 12-month follow-up exam under the care of the treating investigator.\n* Are not enrolled in any other research study.\n\nExclusion criteria.\n\n* Subjects under the age of 21.\n* Patients with excessively thin corneas.\n* Patients with topographic evidence of keratoconus.\n* Patients with ectatic eye disorders.\n* Patients with autoimmune diseases.\n* Patients who are pregnant or nursing.",true,"ALL","21 Years","62 Years",{"count":60,"type":61},700,"ESTIMATED","OBSERVATIONAL","The principle investigator is evaluating self-reported quality of vision and quality of life in physicians undergoing LASIK, SMILE and PRK surgery.",[65,66,67],"Nearsightedness","Farsightedness","Astigmatism","2024-10-21",{"date":70,"type":71},"2024-10-23","ACTUAL",{"date":73,"type":71},"2015-07",{"date":75,"type":61},"2028-01",{"name":5,"class":6},1]
