Preclinical studies have shown that madecassic acid glycosides, including asiaticoside and madecassoside, can significantly reduce body weight gain, adipose tissue mass, and serum triglyceride levels in high-fat diet-induced obese mice. These compounds also improve hepatic steatosis and insulin resistance.
