Whether arising from malabsorption, vagus nerve damage, or splanchnic vasodilation, the pathophysiology of OI in bariatric surgery is not clear and requires more investigation.\n\nTreatment of OI usually consists of dietary and lifestyle changes, which may include compression stockings and abdominal binders. Medical options include peripheral vasoconstrictors and mineralocorticoids; some patients may be referred to Cardiology for further testing. Management is difficult and endurance and tilt training, inflatable abdominal bands, and beta-blockers have been proposed. One recent study demonstrated the treatment of refractory OI with Droxidopa. Yet, the success of treatment is individualized and necessitates more novel approaches.",[9],[19],{"name":20,"affiliation":21,"role":22},"Dhanunjaya Lakkireddy","Kansas City Heart Rhythm Institute","PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR",[24],{"name":25,"role":26,"phone":27,"phoneExt":10,"email":28},"Donita Atkins","CONTACT","816-651-1969","datkins@kchrf.com",[30,46,55,65,75,87,94,106],{"facility":31,"status":32,"city":33,"state":34,"zip":35,"country":36,"countryCode":37,"cosmosGeoPoint":38,"geoPoint":43,"contacts":44},"Menorah Medical Center","RECRUITING","Overland Park","Kansas","66209","United States","US",{"type":39,"coordinates":40},"Point",[41,42],-94.67079,38.98223,{"lat":42,"lon":41},[45],{"name":25,"role":26,"phone":10,"phoneExt":10,"email":10},{"facility":47,"status":32,"city":33,"state":34,"zip":48,"country":36,"countryCode":37,"cosmosGeoPoint":49,"geoPoint":51,"contacts":52},"Bariatric and Metabolic Specialists","66211",{"type":39,"coordinates":50},[41,42],{"lat":42,"lon":41},[53],{"name":54,"role":26,"phone":10,"phoneExt":10,"email":10},"Nicole Fearing, MD",{"facility":56,"status":32,"city":33,"state":34,"zip":48,"country":36,"countryCode":37,"cosmosGeoPoint":57,"geoPoint":59,"contacts":60},"Kansas City Heart Rhythm Institute - Roe Clinic",{"type":39,"coordinates":58},[41,42],{"lat":42,"lon":41},[61,63],{"name":25,"role":26,"phone":27,"phoneExt":10,"email":62},"Datkins@kchrf.com",{"name":64,"role":22,"phone":10,"phoneExt":10,"email":10},"Naga Venkata K.
