During neurosurgical intervention at the bedside in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a single depth electrode will be placed in the brain adjacent to the EVD catheter in the same burr hole. After EVD and depth electrode placement, continuous recording of ECoG activity as well as relevant physiological parameters will be performed for the duration of clinically indicated invasive neuromonitoring in accordance with the standard of care for TBI patients. A single recording station is currently available for data collection, therefore, with an anticipated average recording period of 14 days, the study will take greater than 210 days to complete for a total of 15 patients.",[9],null,[21],{"name":22,"affiliation":5,"role":23},"David Darrow, MD","PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR",[25],{"name":22,"role":26,"phone":27,"phoneExt":19,"email":28},"CONTACT","612-624-6666","rnl@umn.edu",[30],{"facility":31,"status":32,"city":33,"state":34,"zip":35,"country":36,"countryCode":37,"cosmosGeoPoint":38,"geoPoint":43,"contacts":44},"Hennepin County Medical Center","RECRUITING","Minneapolis","Minnesota","55415","United States","US",{"type":39,"coordinates":40},"Point",[41,42],-93.26384,44.97997,{"lat":42,"lon":41},[45,47,50,52],{"name":46,"role":26,"phone":27,"phoneExt":19,"email":28},"David Darrow, MD MPH",{"name":48,"role":26,"phone":49,"phoneExt":19,"email":28},"Study Coordinator","612-873-9113",{"name":46,"role":51,"phone":19,"phoneExt":19,"email":19},"SUB_INVESTIGATOR",{"name":53,"role":23,"phone":19,"phoneExt":19,"email":19},"Samual Cramer, MD, PhD",{"type":55,"investigatorFullName":19,"investigatorTitle":19,"investigatorAffiliation":19,"oldNameTitle":19,"oldOrganization":19},"SPONSOR","100455025","depth-electrode-detection-of-cortical-spreading-depolarization-after-traumatic-brain-injury-100455025",false,"NCT05205174","Depth Electrode Detection of Cortical Spreading Depolarization After Traumatic Brain Injury","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patient recommended to undergo EVD placement for the monitoring and possible treatment of Intracranial pressure (ICP) after TBI\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Contaminated scalp lacerations\n* Known systemic infection\n* Non-English speaking\n* Fixed, uncorrectable coagulopathy","ALL",{"count":64,"type":65},15,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[68],"NA","Preliminary evaluation of depth electrode recording and novel algorithms to determine Cortical Spreading Depolarization's (CSD) following traumatic brain injury (TBI) requiring neurosurgical intervention.",[71],"TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury)","2026-02-19",{"date":74,"type":75},"2026-02-23","ACTUAL",{"date":77,"type":75},"2025-04-03",{"date":79,"type":65},"2030-12-03",{"name":5,"class":6},1]
