It will be carried out over 3 face-to-face group sessions of a maximum of 5 consecutive people in the CDT, another with the same characteristics after 90 days and an individual telematic session after 6 months. The hospitalization or internalization of the person was established as criteria to interrupt or modify the intervention. To improve compliance with the protocol and intervention, periodic meetings will be agreed upon with the nurses in charge of education.",[13],"Other: Therapeutic patient education on the use of a insulin bolus calculator app",[15],{"type":6,"name":16,"description":16,"armGroupLabels":17,"otherNames":18},"Therapeutic patient education on the use of a insulin bolus calculator app",[9],null,[20],{"facility":21,"status":18,"city":22,"state":23,"zip":24,"country":25,"countryCode":26,"cosmosGeoPoint":27,"geoPoint":32,"contacts":18},"Hospital Universitario Virgen del Rocío","Seville","Sevilla","41013","Spain","ES",{"type":28,"coordinates":29},"Point",[30,31],-5.97317,37.38283,{"lat":31,"lon":30},{"type":34,"investigatorFullName":35,"investigatorTitle":36,"investigatorAffiliation":5,"oldNameTitle":18,"oldOrganization":18},"PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR","Pilar Santa Cruz Álvarez","MSc, Advanced Diabetes Nurse","100594406","development-and-implementation-of-a-structured-therapeutic-education-program-on-the-use-of-mobile-applications-for-people-with-diabetes-mellitus-100594406",false,"NCT07019025","Development and Implementation of a Structured Therapeutic Education Program on the Use of Mobile Applications for People With Diabetes Mellitus.","The inclusion criteria will be to be over 18 years old with Diabetes Mellitus in bolus\u002Fbasal treatment, to have and know how to use one's own mobile phone. Globally, the incidence is about 15 cases per 100,000 people, with a prevalence of 9.5%. In Spain, the highest prevalence rates are in the Canary Islands, Murcia, and Castilla y León. DM management includes a balanced diet, exercise, medication, and therapeutic education. Nurse-led programs improve patient outcomes, and mobile apps like Social Diabetes and MySugar help calculate insulin dosages based on diet and other factors.\n\nMethodology:\n\nThe study will take place at the Hospital Universitario Virgen del Rocío in Seville, Spain. Participants will be selected based on eligibility criteria, including being over 18, having diabetes under basal-bolus treatment, and being able to use a mobile phone. Exclusion criteria include cognitive impairment and severe illnesses.\n\nThe intervention includes a structured education program led by nurses using mobile apps, with 3 group sessions and one individual session at 6 months. The primary outcome is glycemic control, and secondary outcomes include self-efficacy and knowledge levels. The study requires 52 participants, with data collected by nurse educators and analyzed using SPSS. Ethics approval and informed consent will be obtained. The authors declare no conflicts of interest.",[52],"Diabetes Mellitus",[54,55],"diabetes","nurses","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2025-06-05",{"date":59,"type":60},"2025-06-13","ACTUAL",{"date":62,"type":46},"2025-06-30",{"date":64,"type":46},"2025-09",{"name":5,"class":6},1]
