This will consist of three, in-person meetings (months 1, 3, and 5), and three, 20-minute phone calls (months 2,4, and 6). During in-person visits, child height and weight will be taken, and BMI will be plotted on the BMI-for-age growth chart. During these sessions, families will receive feedback on child growth and weight status. Prevention Plus materials and child and caregiver energy balance behavior goals will be reviewed. The phone calls will be with the caregiver, where caregivers will be asked to measure the height and weight of their child, calculate BMI, and plot on the BMI-for-age growth chart. The BHC will discuss the family's progress on achieving child and caregiver goals and implementation of behavioral parenting strategies. Families will receive a fruit and vegetable prescription (FVx) in addition to the standard Prevention Plus family-based behavioral weight loss treatment.",[9],null,[21],{"name":22,"affiliation":23,"role":24},"Hollie A Raynor, PhD","University of Tennessee, Knoxville","PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR",[26],{"name":22,"role":27,"phone":28,"phoneExt":29,"email":30},"CONTACT","865-974-9126","1","hraynor@utk.edu",[32,51],{"facility":33,"status":34,"city":35,"state":36,"zip":37,"country":38,"countryCode":39,"cosmosGeoPoint":40,"geoPoint":45,"contacts":46},"Cherokee Health Systems, Dameron Avenue Pedatrics","RECRUITING","Knoxville","Tennessee","37917","United States","US",{"type":41,"coordinates":42},"Point",[43,44],-83.92074,35.96064,{"lat":44,"lon":43},[47],{"name":48,"role":27,"phone":49,"phoneExt":19,"email":50},"Sara Propst, PhD","865-573-0698","Sara.Propst@cherokeehealth.com",{"facility":52,"status":53,"city":35,"state":36,"zip":54,"country":38,"countryCode":39,"cosmosGeoPoint":55,"geoPoint":57,"contacts":19},"Healthy Eating and Activity Laboratory","ENROLLING_BY_INVITATION","37996",{"type":41,"coordinates":56},[43,44],{"lat":44,"lon":43},{"type":24,"investigatorFullName":59,"investigatorTitle":60,"investigatorAffiliation":5,"oldNameTitle":19,"oldOrganization":19},"Hollie Raynor","Associate Dean of Research for the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences","100441426","ebt-fruit-and-vegetable-prescription-100441426",false,"NCT05028205","EBT Fruit and Vegetable Prescription","Eating Better Together: A Pilot Study","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients at the Cherokee Health Systems clinic in Cherokee Mills\n* Child age between 4 to 10 years old\n* Child BMI \\> 85th percentile\n* Child must have an adult caregiver (\\> 18 years) living in the household and be willing to participate in the program\n* Adult caregivers need to be able to read and speak English\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Not patients at the CHS Knox County Pediatric Clinic\n* A child not within the 4 to 10 years age range\n* Child BMI at or below the 85 percentile\n* Child without an adult caregiver (\\> 18 years) living in the household and not willing to participate in the program\n* Adult caregivers that are not able to read and speak English",true,"ALL","4 Years","10 Years",{"count":73,"type":74},30,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[77],"NA","Eating Better Together is a 6-month pilot program that teaches families about healthy eating and activity and provides home deliveries of fresh fruits and vegetables from a local retail partner.",[80,81],"Childhood Obesity","Obesity",[83,84],"Fruit and Vegetable Prescription","Food Security","2026-06-05",{"date":87,"type":88},"2026-06-09","ACTUAL",{"date":90,"type":88},"2021-08-16",{"date":92,"type":74},"2026-12-28",{"name":5,"class":6},2]
