The main training phase will include progressive plyometric exercises targeting lower limb function. A 5-minute cool-down period will be performed at the end of each session to promote muscle relaxation and reduce fatigue",[9],[29],{"name":30,"role":31,"phone":32,"phoneExt":11,"email":33},"Mayada Ghalwash Abdelkarem","CONTACT","0201556950163","mayada.khedr59@gmail.com",[35,52,62],{"facility":5,"status":11,"city":36,"state":37,"zip":38,"country":39,"countryCode":40,"cosmosGeoPoint":41,"geoPoint":46,"contacts":47},"Giza","Giza Governorate","11562","Egypt","EG",{"type":42,"coordinates":43},"Point",[44,45],31.20861,30.00944,{"lat":45,"lon":44},[48,51],{"name":49,"role":31,"phone":50,"phoneExt":11,"email":33},"Mayada Ghalwash Abdelkarem, BSc PT","201556950163",{"name":30,"role":31,"phone":11,"phoneExt":11,"email":11},{"facility":53,"status":11,"city":54,"state":11,"zip":11,"country":39,"countryCode":40,"cosmosGeoPoint":55,"geoPoint":59,"contacts":60},"Faculty of physical therapy Cairo University","Cairo",{"type":42,"coordinates":56},[57,58],31.24967,30.06263,{"lat":58,"lon":57},[61],{"name":49,"role":31,"phone":32,"phoneExt":11,"email":33},{"facility":63,"status":11,"city":36,"state":11,"zip":11,"country":39,"countryCode":40,"cosmosGeoPoint":64,"geoPoint":66,"contacts":67},"Physical therapy Cairo University",{"type":42,"coordinates":65},[44,45],{"lat":45,"lon":44},[68],{"name":69,"role":31,"phone":50,"phoneExt":11,"email":33},"Mayada Ghalwash Abd, BSc PT",{"type":71,"investigatorFullName":30,"investigatorTitle":72,"investigatorAffiliation":5,"oldNameTitle":11,"oldOrganization":11},"PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR","Principal Investigator","100643867","effect-of-plyometric-training-cross-education-on-strength-selective-motor-control-and-balance-in-children-with-hemiplegic-cerebral-palsy-100643867",false,"NCT07669857","Effect of Plyometric Training Cross Education on Strength, Selective Motor Control and Balance in Children With Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy","PLYO-HCP","Inclusion Criteria:Children eligible for participation in this study must meet all the following criteria:\n\n1. Diagnosed with HCP by a pediatric neurologist.\n2. Age range 6 and 10 years old.\n3. Their grade of spasticity level 1 or 1+ according to MAS.\n4. Their gross motor function level is I, II on GMFCS.\n5. Able to follow verbal instructions and cooperate during assessment and training.\n\nExclusion Criteria:Children will be excluded from this study if they have any of the following:\n\n1. Presence of corrective neurological\u002Fmusculoskeletal surgery of the lower limb in the previous year or botulinum toxin injections of the lower limb within the previous 6 months.\n2. It will also assess the safety and feasibility of applying this training program in pediatric rehabilitation.\n\nThe main questions it aims to answer are:\n\nDoes plyometric training with cross-education improve lower limb muscle strength in children with HCP? Does it improve selective motor control in the affected lower limb? Does it improve balance in children with HCP? Researchers will compare a study group receiving conventional physiotherapy plus plyometric training applied to the less affected limb to a control group receiving conventional physiotherapy only.\n\nParticipants will:\n\nReceive treatment for 12 weeks (2 sessions per week) Attend regular physiotherapy sessions including stretching, strengthening, balance, and gait training Participate in plyometric exercises (study group only) Be assessed before and after the intervention using standardized tests for muscle strength, selective motor control, and balance",[91],"Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy",[93,94,25],"Cross-education effect","Hemiplegic cerebral palsy","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-06-21",{"date":98,"type":99},"2026-06-25","ACTUAL",{"date":98,"type":85},{"date":102,"type":85},"2026-09-30",{"name":5,"class":6},3]
