The active electrode will be moved in circular motions over the injured tendon while the inactive electrode will be placed under the forearm. Intensity will be set to a comfortable, moderate level based on patient sensation. Radio-frequency (RF) energy will be delivered via capacitive mode for 2 minutes per digit, then resistive mode for 4 minutes per digit (total 6 minutes per digit). It will be worn full-time for the first 3 weeks post-surgery, then based on environmental safety (only during sleep and outside home if safe) for weeks 4-6. Patients will begin outpatient physical therapy from week 1 with active mobilization and home exercises every 2 hours. Dressings will be changed every other day. During weeks 1-2, passive\u002Factive flexion\u002Fextension will follow the Duran protocol (25-50% range of motion) with splint worn during therapy. Weeks 3-4 will progress to 75-100% range of motion, with splint removal at week 4 for active tenodesis exercises. Weeks 5-6 will add tendon gliding, blocking exercises, and light activities while avoiding strenuous lifting or gripping. This progressive protocol will ensure safe healing while gradually restoring function.",[16,9],[31,35,39],{"name":32,"affiliation":33,"role":34},"Hsham Mahran, PhD","Professor, Cairo university","STUDY_CHAIR",{"name":36,"affiliation":37,"role":38},"Ahmed Mahmoud Ali Gabr Zarraa, PhD","Lecturer, Cairo university","STUDY_DIRECTOR",{"name":40,"affiliation":41,"role":38},"Amr Abdallah Gomaa, PhD","Assistant Professor, Suez Canal university",[43,48],{"name":44,"role":45,"phone":46,"phoneExt":26,"email":47},"Basma Rajai Amer Amer, B.Sc","CONTACT","+20 101 919 0709","Basmarajai3@gmail.com",{"name":36,"role":45,"phone":26,"phoneExt":26,"email":26},[50],{"facility":51,"status":26,"city":52,"state":26,"zip":26,"country":53,"countryCode":54,"cosmosGeoPoint":55,"geoPoint":60,"contacts":61},"Suez Canal University Hospital","Ismailia","Egypt","EG",{"type":56,"coordinates":57},"Point",[58,59],32.27225,30.60427,{"lat":59,"lon":58},[62,63],{"name":44,"role":45,"phone":46,"phoneExt":26,"email":47},{"name":36,"role":45,"phone":26,"phoneExt":26,"email":26},{"type":65,"investigatorFullName":66,"investigatorTitle":67,"investigatorAffiliation":5,"oldNameTitle":26,"oldOrganization":26},"PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR","Basma Rajai Amer Amer","Principal Investigator","100612597","effect-of-transfer-energy-capacitive-and-resistive-therapy-on-pain-and-range-of-motion-after-flexor-tendon-repair-100612597",false,"NCT07255651","Effect of Transfer Energy Capacitive and Resistive Therapy on Pain and Range of Motion After Flexor Tendon Repair","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Ages of patients will be ranged from 20 to 35 years.\n* All patients underwent flexor tendon primary direct repair\n* All patients will be referred by a surgeon before starting the study procedure.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patient with digital nerve repairs.\n* Patients with associated vascular injuries requiring arterial repair.\n* Patients with associated crush injuries and soft tissue loss.\n* Patients with associated bone fractures.\n* Patients with associated extensor tendon injuries .\n* Patients with preexisting problems limiting joint motion.\n* Patients with diminished cognitive capacity.\n* Patients with history of previously failed repair.\n* Patients with allergic reactions to certain substances in the conductive cream\n* Patients with sensation impairment .","ALL","20 Years","35 Years",{"count":78,"type":79},40,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[82],"NA","The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of Transfer Energy Capacitive and Resistive therapy (TECAR) on pain and range of motion (ROM) after hand flexor tendon repair.",[85],"Flexor Tendon Rupture","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2025-11-20",{"date":89,"type":90},"2025-12-01","ACTUAL",{"date":89,"type":79},{"date":93,"type":79},"2026-02-15",{"name":5,"class":6},1]
