pain\n* \\>17 years age\n* X-ray of the knee obtained in the ED\n* Initial pain score (numeric rating scale) 5-10\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Fracture or dislocation on x-ray\n* large knee joint effusion identified on x-ray\n* allergy or contraindication to local anesthetics\n* History of local anesthetic systemic toxicity after receiving local anesthetics\n* Pregnancy\n* Incarcerated\n* History of knee replacement of affected knee\n* Concern for septic joint\n* Overlying cellulitis\n* Hemodynamic instability\n* Altered mental status or inability to consent for procedure.","ALL","18
