It was invented by Edwards Lifesciences through a machine-learning algorithm, and can be calculated with Acumen Hypotension Prediction Index software incorporated in HemoSphere advanced monitoring platform (EV1000). This value, ranging from 0 to 100, predicts the likelihood of a patient trending towards a hypotensive event, which is defined as mean arterial pressure below 65 mmHg for at least one minute.",[9],[26],{"name":27,"role":28,"phone":29,"phoneExt":30,"email":31},"Ying-Chun Lin, Master","CONTACT","+886-02-25433535","3009","elegant.beaver@gmail.com",[33],{"facility":34,"status":35,"city":36,"state":18,"zip":37,"country":38,"countryCode":39,"cosmosGeoPoint":40,"geoPoint":45,"contacts":46},"Mackay memorial hospital","RECRUITING","Taipei","104","Taiwan","TW",{"type":41,"coordinates":42},"Point",[43,44],121.52639,25.05306,{"lat":44,"lon":43},[47],{"name":48,"role":28,"phone":18,"phoneExt":18,"email":18},"Yingchun Lin, Master",{"type":50,"investigatorFullName":51,"investigatorTitle":52,"investigatorAffiliation":5,"oldNameTitle":18,"oldOrganization":18},"PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR","Ying-Chun Lin","Attending physician","100526653","hpi-for-prevention-of-hypotension-during-cardiac-surgery-100526653",false,"NCT06137547","HPI for Prevention of Hypotension During Cardiac Surgery","Hypotension Prediction Index for Prevention of Hypotension During Cardiac Surgery: A Randomized Controlled Trial","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* adult\n* elective, primary, isolated coronary arterial bypass surgery (CABG) or isolated valve surgery\n* provide inform consent.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* arrhythmia (e.g., atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter)\n* intracardiac shunts\n* preoperative inotropic usage\n* preoperative supportive devices usage (e.g., intra-aortic balloon pump, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, left ventricular assist device, or right ventricular assist device)\n* receiving urgent or emergent procedures.","ALL","18 Years",{"count":63,"type":64},110,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[67],"NA","Hypotension prediction index (HPI) was applied in various types of non-cardiac surgery with convincing benefits of preventing hypotensive events and clinical sequelae. Although HPI was validated in cardiac surgery, its clinical benefits are not proven yet. We aim to evaluate its effects on intraoperative hypotension and postoperative adverse events in cardiac surgery. In this randomized, single-blind trial, we will enroll adults scheduled for elective primary cardiac surgery under general anesthesia. Participants will be randomly assigned to intraoperative HPI-guided or non-HPI-guided hemodynamic management. The primary endpoint is the time-weighted average intraoperative hypotension below a mean arterial pressure threshold of 65 mmHg. The secondary endpoints are postoperative complications.",[70],"Cardiac Surgery Patients",[72,73,74,75],"cardiac surgery","hypotension prediction index","hypotension","randomized controlled trial","2025-05-06",{"date":78,"type":79},"2025-05-08","ACTUAL",{"date":81,"type":79},"2023-11-20",{"date":83,"type":64},"2027-08-31",{"name":5,"class":6},1]
