It will be conducted for eight sessions (theoretical and practical), each session for about 20-30 minutes. It will include the importance of early initiation of breastfeeding, skin-to-skin contact immediately after birth, the importance of exclusive and continued breastfeeding, positions of breastfeeding, the importance of avoiding pre-lacteal feeds and unnecessary supplementation, advantages of rooming-in, and how to manage common breast and nipple conditions.\n\nThe researcher will design an Arabic booklet and distribute it to the nurses at the first session as a guide to reinforce the teaching",[9],[26],{"name":27,"affiliation":28,"role":29},"Abeer Ali, Ass.lecturer","Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University, Egypt","PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR",[31,36],{"name":32,"role":33,"phone":34,"phoneExt":18,"email":35},"Abeer Sa Ali, Ass.lecturer","CONTACT","+201097536907","dr_abeer_salah@mans.edu.eg",{"name":37,"role":33,"phone":38,"phoneExt":18,"email":18},"Samia Othman, professor","+201008375791",[40],{"facility":41,"status":18,"city":42,"state":43,"zip":44,"country":45,"countryCode":46,"cosmosGeoPoint":47,"geoPoint":52,"contacts":18},"Faculty of Nursing, Mansoura University","Al Mansurah","Dakahlia Governorate","35516","Egypt","EG",{"type":48,"coordinates":49},"Point",[50,51],31.38069,31.03637,{"lat":51,"lon":50},{"type":29,"investigatorFullName":54,"investigatorTitle":55,"investigatorAffiliation":5,"oldNameTitle":18,"oldOrganization":18},"Abeer Salah Ali Mohamed","Assistant Lecturer","100579461","impact-of-baby-friedly-hospital-initiative-bfhi-training-program-on-breastfeeding-practices-100579461",false,"NCT06824597","Impact of Baby-friedly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) Training Program on Breastfeeding Practices","Impact of Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative Training Program on Nurses' and Mothers' Breastfeeding Practices and Experiences","BFHI","Inclusion Criteria:\n\nFor nurses: all nurses who were working at inpatient postpartum wards and the delivery unit in Mansoura University Hospital with at least one year of work experience and who were providing direct care to the mothers and their newborns\n\nFor mothers:\n\n* Who had the intention to breastfeed.\n* Primiparous women\n* Age between 18 and 35 years.\n* Who had given birth to a singleton baby.\n* Free from serious medical or obstetrical complications.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Breastfeeding mothers will be excluded from the study if their baby had:\n\n * Born before 37 weeks of gestation.\n * An Apgar score of less than 8 at 5 minutes.\n * A birthweight of less than 2,500 g.\n * Born with severe medical conditions or congenital malformations.\n * Admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit.","FEMALE","18 Years","50 Years",{"count":68,"type":69},142,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[72],"NA","This study aims to evaluate the impact of Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative training program on nurses' and mothers' breastfeeding practices and experiences.\n\nResearch Hypotheses\n\n* Maternity nurses who participate in the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative training program exhibit improvement in breastfeeding practice scores and more positive breastfeeding experiences after the training program than before.\n* Breastfeeding mothers who receive Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative support have good breastfeeding practices and more positive breastfeeding experiences.",[75],"Breastfeeding Outcomes",[77],"training program - breastfeeding- practices-experiences","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2025-02-07",{"date":81,"type":82},"2025-02-13","ACTUAL",{"date":84,"type":69},"2025-02",{"date":86,"type":69},"2025-12",{"name":5,"class":6},1]
