The site will first educate patients on the importance of CRC screening and offer information on the advantages and disadvantages of the available test options. Protect Your Colon™ will then present an interactive conjoint analysis-a quantitative survey technique that elucidates how individuals make complex decisions-to precisely determine individuals' latent preferences regarding CRC screening options. Afterwards, the app will generate a personalized report that rank orders the importance of each test attribute (e.g., accuracy, invasiveness, test frequency) in patients' decision making and identifies the screening modality that best matches their preferences. The report will also be shareable with physicians, enabling patients and providers to engage in shared decision making surrounding CRC screening in the clinic.",[9],[26],{"name":27,"affiliation":5,"role":28},"Christopher V Almario, MD, MSHPM","PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR",[30,34],{"name":27,"role":31,"phone":32,"phoneExt":18,"email":33},"CONTACT","310.423.4462","Christopher.Almario@csmc.edu",{"name":35,"role":31,"phone":36,"phoneExt":18,"email":37},"Muskaan R Mehra, MS","310.423.0715","muskaan.mehra@cshs.org",[39],{"facility":5,"status":40,"city":41,"state":42,"zip":43,"country":44,"countryCode":45,"cosmosGeoPoint":46,"geoPoint":51,"contacts":52},"RECRUITING","Los Angeles","California","90048","United States","US",{"type":47,"coordinates":48},"Point",[49,50],-118.24368,34.05223,{"lat":50,"lon":49},[53,57],{"name":54,"role":31,"phone":55,"phoneExt":18,"email":56},"Antwon Chaplin, BA","310.248.6790","Antwon.Chaplin@cshs.org",{"name":27,"role":28,"phone":18,"phoneExt":18,"email":18},{"type":28,"investigatorFullName":59,"investigatorTitle":60,"investigatorAffiliation":5,"oldNameTitle":18,"oldOrganization":18},"Christopher Almario","Assistant Professor",[62],{"name":63,"class":64},"National Cancer Institute (NCI)","NIH","100510698","impact-of-protect-your-colon-on-crc-screening-100510698",false,"NCT05929820","Impact of Protect Your Colon™ on CRC Screening","Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial Assessing the Impact of Protect Your Colon™ on Colorectal Cancer Screening Behaviors","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Individuals 45 to 75 years old\n* No prior CRC screening or not up-to-date with CRC screening\n* Not at high risk for CRC (e.g., inflammatory bowel disease, colon polyposis syndromes, family history of CRC)\n* No prior colon polyps\n* Additional inclusion criteria for participants recruited through Cint online survey panels: (i) appointment with a primary care provider up to 6 weeks from time of screening, and (ii) have Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) insurance.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Does not speak English\n* Does not have internet access\n* Any records flagged \"break the glass\" or \"research opt out.\"","ALL","45 Years","75 Years",{"count":76,"type":77},184,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[80],"NA","The purpose of the research is to assess the impact of Protect Your Colon™, a colorectal cancer (CRC) screening decision aid, on patients' CRC screening behaviors.
