Otherwise, these measurements will be ordered at the first visit to confirm eligibility.\n* Blood pressure: Individuals whose blood pressure is under moderate control will be eligible - specifically, treated or untreated resting systolic\u002Fdiastolic pressure \\\u003C 160\u002F100 mmHg.\n* Lipid control: Individuals with fasting triglyceride concentration \\\u003C 600 mg are eligible.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* HbA1c \\>9%\n* Type 1 diabetes\n* Taking insulin\n* Pregnancy\n* Non-ambulant or severely incapacitated with any medical condition(s) reducing ability to stand or mobilize.\n* Currently participating in a study to reduce sedentary behaviour or increase physical activity\n* Language. Inability to read and understand Arabic or English language.\n* Inability to give informed consent.","ALL","20 Years","75 Years",{"count":70,"type":71},340,"ESTIMATED","OBSERVATIONAL","This observational study aims to measure movement behaviours and explore factors influencing these among Bahraini patients with type 2 diabetes.\n\nThe main objectives are:\n\n(i) Measure free-living physical activity and sedentary behaviour with an accelerometer device (ii) Examine associations between movement behaviours and anthropometric and diabetes-related biochemical\u002Fclinical parameters (iii) Examine associations between movement behaviours and psychological and environmental determinants that influence movement behaviours (iv) Assess the feasibility and acceptability of the physical activity assessment tools as part of routine clinical practice with clinicians and diabetic patients\n\nParticipants will be invited to wear an accelerometer device for seven days.",[75],"Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2",[77,78,79],"Physical activity","Behaviour","mHealth","2025-02-24",{"date":82,"type":83},"2025-02-26","ACTUAL",{"date":85,"type":83},"2024-04-24",{"date":87,"type":71},"2025-12-31",{"name":5,"class":6},4]
