The Genetic Testing Family Letter provides information about the genetic diagnosis in the family, instructions for the relatives on how to schedule a genetic evaluation, and contact information for the U-M Cancer Genetics Clinic. The VGN is an interactive web-based tool that provides personalized information addressing readiness, barriers and motivators to testing, and knowledge, and presents educational content about genetic testing and information about testing options, including how to access them on study.",[13,14,15,16],"Other: Communication Intervention","Other: Health Promotion and Education","Other: Informational Intervention","Other: Survey Administration",[18,23,27,31],{"type":6,"name":19,"description":20,"armGroupLabels":21,"otherNames":22},"Communication Intervention","Use relative invitation tool",[9],null,{"type":6,"name":24,"description":25,"armGroupLabels":26,"otherNames":22},"Health Promotion and Education","Receive access to the VGN",[9],{"type":6,"name":28,"description":29,"armGroupLabels":30,"otherNames":22},"Informational Intervention","Receive access to a Genetic Testing Family Letter",[9],{"type":6,"name":32,"description":33,"armGroupLabels":34,"otherNames":22},"Survey Administration","Ancillary studies",[9],[36],{"name":37,"affiliation":5,"role":38},"Elena M Stoffel","PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR",[40],{"name":41,"role":42,"phone":43,"phoneExt":22,"email":44},"MiGHT HelpLine","CONTACT","(734) 764-4044","MiGHT-Cascade@med.umich.edu",[46],{"facility":47,"status":48,"city":49,"state":50,"zip":51,"country":52,"countryCode":53,"cosmosGeoPoint":54,"geoPoint":59,"contacts":60},"University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center","RECRUITING","Ann Arbor","Michigan","48109","United States","US",{"type":55,"coordinates":56},"Point",[57,58],-83.74088,42.27756,{"lat":58,"lon":57},[61,63],{"name":41,"role":42,"phone":62,"phoneExt":22,"email":44},"734-764-4044",{"name":64,"role":38,"phone":22,"phoneExt":22,"email":22},"Elena M. Between 5% and 10% of all cancers are caused by genetic changes that are hereditary, which means that they run in families. Some kinds of cancer or certain cancers diagnosed in biological relatives may mean patients are more likely to have a genetic change. Once a genetic change is identified in a family, other biological relatives can choose to undergo testing themselves to better understand their cancer risk. The uptake of genetic testing in other biological relatives once a genetic condition is identified is about 20% to 30%. The Cascade Genetic Testing Platform is a virtual tool that seeks to overcome barriers related to logistics of family communication and improve dissemination of genetic testing information which is clinically actionable for individuals at highest risk for cancer. Using the Cascade Genetic Testing Platform may improve ways to share information about hereditary risk with biological relatives.",[85,86],"Hereditary Malignant Neoplasm","Hereditary Neoplastic Syndrome","2026-06-11",{"date":89,"type":90},"2026-06-15","ACTUAL",{"date":92,"type":90},"2025-09-23",{"date":94,"type":79},"2026-09-30",{"name":5,"class":6},1]
