The psychologist sessions will focus on topics regarding cognitive behavioural therapy, psychoeducation, occupational rehabilitation and work activity. The physiotherapeutic sessions will include a combination of exercises on neck tensions, relaxation therapies and advises on, how to return gradually to daily activities (social, cognitive, and physical activities, such as reading, working by the computer, house cleaning, exercising, and going out with friends). Furthermore, patients will get exercise handouts to do at home between sessions.\n\nBoth psychologist and physiotherapist sessions will be group-based with 6-8 patients in each group. Once every week, the groups receive psychologist sessions lasting 90 minutes and afterwards physiotherapist sessions of 60 minutes.",[18],"Behavioral: The intervention group",[20],{"type":21,"name":22,"description":23,"armGroupLabels":24,"otherNames":12},"BEHAVIORAL","The intervention group","Is described in arm",[14],[26],{"name":27,"role":28,"phone":29,"phoneExt":12,"email":30},"Sasha Gaj Baatz, cand.scient.san.publ.","CONTACT","+45 25127766","srgnielsen@health.sdu.dk",{"type":32,"investigatorFullName":12,"investigatorTitle":12,"investigatorAffiliation":12,"oldNameTitle":12,"oldOrganization":12},"SPONSOR",[34,36],{"name":35,"class":6},"Region of Southern Denmark",{"name":37,"class":6},"University of Southern Denmark","100551931","non-pharmacological-treatment-of-patients-at-risk-of-developing-persistent-posttraumatic-headache-100551931",false,"NCT06466499","Non-pharmacological Treatment of Patients at Risk of Developing Persistent Posttraumatic Headache","Inclusion criteria:\n\n* Clinical diagnosed with acute posttraumatic headache\n* Headache present for more than 15 days\u002Fmonth\n* Must understand written and spoken Danish\n\nExclusion criteria:\n\n* History of pre-existing primary or secondary headache\n* Dementia or comorbidity with neurological disorders\n* Psychiatric disorders\n* Participants who cannot collaborate in relation to the intervention","ALL","18 Years","60 Years",{"count":48,"type":49},104,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[52],"NA","The goal of this mixed method study is to test and evaluate the effect of an early interdisciplinary non-pharmacological treatment of patients at risk of developing persistent posttraumatic headache in order to prevent the development of persistent posttraumatic headache and thereby, reduce persistency and improve the quality of life. Furthermore, to gain knowledge on and a deeper understanding of the patients' perspective and experience of the treatment.\n\nThe project consists of 3 sub studies:\n\n1. A feasibility study; with the purpose of exploring the feasibility of an early non-pharmacological intervention for patients with persistent posttraumatic headache after mild traumatic brain injury.\n2. An experimental design; a randomized controlled trial to evaluate the effect of the early non-pharmacological treatment.\n3. A qualitative focus group interview study; to get a more nuanced knowledge of patients' experience with the non-pharmacological treatment related to post traumatic headache.",[55],"Posttraumatic Headache","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2024-11-27",{"date":59,"type":60},"2024-12-02","ACTUAL",{"date":62,"type":49},"2024-12-01",{"date":64,"type":49},"2027-05-05",{"name":5,"class":6}]
