First, an in-depth review will be conducted; then, a written script will be developed. The video will include eight sections: definition, epidemiology, risk factors, signs and symptoms, diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and the nurse's role. It will be narrated by the researcher and include slides, simulated demonstrations in a skills laboratory, and animations created with support from a graphic design specialist. The final video will be developed under expert consultation, submitted for review, and shared via a QR code in the thesis.,",[14],[14],[26],{"name":27,"affiliation":5,"role":28},"Fatma TAS ARSLAN, Prof. Dr.","PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR",[30,34],{"name":27,"role":31,"phone":32,"phoneExt":12,"email":33},"CONTACT","+905058013067","fatmatas61@hotmail.com",{"name":35,"role":31,"phone":36,"phoneExt":12,"email":37},"Nur KARATASLIK, MSc Student","+905375931998","nurkrtslk@gmail.com",[39],{"facility":40,"status":12,"city":41,"state":41,"zip":42,"country":43,"countryCode":12,"cosmosGeoPoint":44,"geoPoint":49,"contacts":12},"Selcuk University Faculty of Nursing","Konya","42250","Turkey (Türkiye)",{"type":45,"coordinates":46},"Point",[47,48],32.48464,37.87135,{"lat":48,"lon":47},{"type":28,"investigatorFullName":51,"investigatorTitle":5,"investigatorAffiliation":5,"oldNameTitle":12,"oldOrganization":12},"Fatma Taş Arslan","100634849","peripheral-venous-catheter-infiltration-and-extravasation-100634849",false,"NCT07545031","Peripheral Venous Catheter Infiltration and Extravasation","The Effect of Video-Assisted Training on Pediatric Nurses' Knowledge, Attitudes, and Professional Competence Regarding Peripheral Venous Catheter Infiltration and Extravasation: A Randomized Controlled Trial","Extravasation","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Having worked as a pediatric nurse for at least 6 months.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Being on long-term leave (maternity leave, unpaid leave, sick leave, etc.),\n* Refusal to participate in work.",true,"ALL","18 Years",{"count":64,"type":65},56,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[68],"NA","This study aims to evaluate the effect of video-supported education, prepared for pediatric nurses, on their knowledge, attitudes, and perceived professional competence regarding peripheral venous catheter (PVC) infiltration and extravasation. The research will be conducted as a parallel-group, randomized controlled experimental design, involving pre-test and post-test measurements. The study will be carried out with nurses working in the pediatric clinics of Konya Dr. Ali Kemal Belviranlı Women's Health and Pediatric Hospital.\n\nDuring the data collection process, a Descriptive Information Form, an Infiltration and Extravasation Knowledge Questionnaire, an Attitude Scale Towards Preventing Infiltration and Extravasation, and a Competency Scale for Clinical Nurses will be utilized. Nurses in the intervention group will receive video-supported education on peripheral venous catheter infiltration and extravasation, which will be prepared by the researchers with expert consultation. No intervention will be applied to nurses in the control group. Pre-test data will be collected face-to-face from both the intervention and control groups within one week prior to the intervention, and post-test data will be collected one month after the intervention.\n\nThe findings are expected to improve nurses' knowledge and attitudes towards complications they may encounter in PVC applications, enhance patient safety in clinical practice, and provide evidence-based contributions to nursing education. In these respects, the study aims to make a significant contribution to the literature and pediatric nursing practice.",[71,58],"Infiltration of Peripheral IV Therapy","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-04-15",{"date":75,"type":76},"2026-04-22","ACTUAL",{"date":78,"type":65},"2026-04-27",{"date":80,"type":65},"2026-06-11",{"name":5,"class":6},1]
