Participants enrolled in the study will receive real or sham ESWT.",[9],[20],"shockwave",null,[23],{"name":24,"role":25,"phone":26,"phoneExt":21,"email":27},"CHIEN-HO LIN, PT, PhD","CONTACT","+886923662018","chienhol@ntu.edu.tw",{"type":29,"investigatorFullName":21,"investigatorTitle":21,"investigatorAffiliation":21,"oldNameTitle":21,"oldOrganization":21},"SPONSOR","100640707","phase-2-efficacy-of-extracorporeal-shockwave-therapy-on-plantar-fasciitis-in-patients-with-peripheral-neuropathy-100640707",false,"NCT07587255","Efficacy of Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy on Plantar Fasciitis in Patients With Peripheral Neuropathy","Efficacy of Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy for Plantar Fasciitis in Patients With Peripheral Neuropathy: A Clinical Evaluation","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Age 18 or older and 90 or younger.\n* Ability to give informed consent.\n* Presence of peripheral neuropathy, confirmed by clinical symptoms, nerve\n* conduction study, autonomic function test, quantitative sensory test, or skin biopsy.\n* Plantar fasciitis presenting as (1) heel pain persisting for more than 3 months, most noticeable with initial steps after a period of inactivity, but also worse following prolonged weight-bearing, and (2) pain with palpation of the proximal insertion of the plantar fascia.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Presence of severe systemic diseases, including severe ischemic heart disease or congestive heart failure (left ventricular ejection fraction \\\u003C 30%), severe lung diseases with dyspnea, severe generalized edema, uncontrolled diabetes, and systemic infection.\n* Presence of severe peripheral vascular disease.\n* Presence of an implanted cardiac pacemaker, deep brain stimulator, or metallic implants (for example, internal fixation plates, screws, etc.) within the affected foot or ankle.\n* Presence of ruptured or pre-ruptured tendons in the target area.
