For each patient, two implants will be placed in the edentulous area, and the patient will receive a screw-retained bridge supported by both implants made of milled monolithic zirconia (Dental Direkt Zirconia, Germany). After 6 months, the zirconia restoration will be replaced with a milled resin-reinforced composite (Nanoska G Plus, USA), allowing the same patient to use the new restoration for another 6 months. Randomization will be performed to determine the sequence of bridge material for each participant. Accordingly, the two restorations will be sequentially delivered to each participant with no gap (wash-up period) between them. Consent will be signed by the selected participants after explaining the detailed information of the trial.",[9],null,{"type":22,"name":11,"description":11,"armGroupLabels":27,"otherNames":25},[15],[29,34],{"name":30,"role":31,"phone":32,"phoneExt":25,"email":33},"Mahmoud Saleh Fayed, Assistant lecturer","CONTACT","00201141565676","mahmoud.fayed@dentistry.cu.edu.eg",{"name":35,"role":31,"phone":25,"phoneExt":25,"email":36},"Reham Osman, Professor","rehambosman@gmail.com",[38,52],{"facility":39,"status":40,"city":41,"state":42,"zip":43,"country":44,"countryCode":45,"cosmosGeoPoint":46,"geoPoint":51,"contacts":25},"Faculty of Dentistry, Cairo University","RECRUITING","Cairo","Cairo Governorate","12613","Egypt","EG",{"type":47,"coordinates":48},"Point",[49,50],31.24967,30.06263,{"lat":50,"lon":49},{"facility":39,"status":40,"city":41,"state":42,"zip":43,"country":44,"countryCode":45,"cosmosGeoPoint":53,"geoPoint":55,"contacts":56},{"type":47,"coordinates":54},[49,50],{"lat":50,"lon":49},[57,61,64,65,68],{"name":58,"role":31,"phone":59,"phoneExt":25,"email":60},"Faculty of Dentistry Cairo university","002010 02159535","adj@dentistry.cu.edu.eg",{"name":62,"role":63,"phone":25,"phoneExt":25,"email":25},"mahmoud Saleh Fayed, Assistant lecturer","PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR",{"name":35,"role":63,"phone":25,"phoneExt":25,"email":25},{"name":66,"role":67,"phone":25,"phoneExt":25,"email":25},"Bassem Mohsen Abdel-Hameed, Associate Professor","SUB_INVESTIGATOR",{"name":69,"role":67,"phone":25,"phoneExt":25,"email":25},"Nancy Nader El-sherbini, Professor",{"type":63,"investigatorFullName":71,"investigatorTitle":72,"investigatorAffiliation":5,"oldNameTitle":25,"oldOrganization":25},"Mahmoud Saleh Fayed","associate lecturer- prosthodontics department- faculty of dentistry","100593525","phase-2-evaluation-of-marginal-bone-height-changes-and-biting-force-in-screw-retained-implant-prostheses-using-reinforced-resin-vs-monolithic-zirconium-100593525",false,"NCT07007572","Evaluation Of Marginal Bone Height Changes And Biting Force In Screw Retained Implant Prostheses Using Reinforced Resin Vs Monolithic Zirconium","Evaluation Of Marginal Bone Height Changes And Biting Force In Screw Retained Implant Prostheses Using Reinforced Resin Vs Monolithic Zirconium Used In Unilateral Distal Extension Cases","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Mandibular Class II, partially edentulous patients that enables measuring the marginal bone height changes and values of biting forces intra-orally.\n* Fully dentulous edentulous opposing Maxillary arch.\n* Patients with normal class I jaw relationship.\n* Patients that require fixed restorations for functional and esthetic reasons\n* Age range (30-60 years).\n* Cooperative patients those are willing to attend all follow-up periods.\n* Patients with healthy attached mucosa of appropriate thickness free from any inflammation.\n* Patients with healthy bone of appropriate thickness, width and height free from any inflammation.\n* Patients without any medical conditions that contraindicates implant placement.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients with Parkinson's disease\n* Patients with xerostomia.\n* Patients with a history of allergy to resins and\u002F or zirconia.\n* Patients with a medical systematic condition that contraindicate implant placement.\n* Patients smoking more than 10 cigarettes per day.\n* Patients with pathological changes of residual ridges as recurrent or persistent ulcers, osteomyelitis and infections.\n* Patients with large irregular bony exostosis.\n* Patients with medical or psychological conditions as physical disability or mental retardation that hinder cooperation in the follow up visits and answering the questionnaires.",true,"ALL","30 Years","60 Years",{"count":85,"type":86},14,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[89],"PHASE2","This studies aims to compare the behavior of recently introduced resin reinforces compared to monolithic zirconia",[92,93,94,95,96,97],"Biting Forces","Bone; Change, Diabetic (Manifestation)","Color Stability","Disorder of Soft Tissue","Prosthetic Complications","Bacterial Overgrowth",[99,100,101,102,103],"biting forces","Bacterial Adhesion","color stability","soft tissue response","prosthetic complication","2025-06-03",{"date":106,"type":107},"2025-06-06","ACTUAL",{"date":109,"type":107},"2024-12-31",{"date":111,"type":86},"2026-03-01",{"name":5,"class":6},2]
