Can be via computer or handheld device.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Any who opt out\n* Age \\\u003C 18 years\n* No diagnosis of congenital heart disease\n* Not enrolled in CHI registry\u002Funable to access Internet","ALL","18 Years",{"count":97,"type":98},1000,"ESTIMATED","3 Months","OBSERVATIONAL","The purpose of this study, entitled \"Psychological trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, and resilience in adults with congenital heart disease in a large population sample\", is to evaluate for exposures during a lifetime with congenital heart disease that may be associated with higher likelihood of developing PTSD.\n\nPrimary aim:\n\n\\- Identify individual patient characteristics (medical, psychosocial, socioeconomic, etc.) that are associated with a diagnosis of PTSD.\n\nSecondary aims:\n\n* Calculate the prevalence of those meeting PTSD criteria in the ACHD population using the \"gold standard\" diagnostic clinician interview, while using the same data to validate a PTSD screening self-report survey in the ACHD population.\n* Determine the role of resilience in ACHD patients using a validated screening survey to assess its protective role toward PTSD.\n\nHypotheses:\n\n* There are certain exposures (e.g. post-surgical pain, ICU delirium, bullying due to CHD) that are associated with a higher incidence and odds of meeting PTSD criteria.\n* \"Gold standard\" diagnostic interviews will most accurately estimate the prevalence of PTSD in ACHD which has been overestimated on prior screening-based studies, although the scope of the problem is still great.\n* Patients with a higher resilience score will show an association with a lower risk of PTSD.",[103,104,105],"Adult Congenital Heart Disease","Congenital Heart Disease","PTSD",[107,108,109,110,111,112,113],"adult congenital heart disease","achd","congenital heart disease","pediatric cardiology","ptsd","post-traumatic stress disorder","resilience","2026-03-23",{"date":116,"type":117},"2026-03-25","ACTUAL",{"date":119,"type":117},"2025-09-01",{"date":121,"type":98},"2026-08",{"name":5,"class":6},3]
