Paindrainer® consists of a mobile app for self-monitoring of activity levels and symptoms, and a CARE portal for healthcare providers to support remote monitoring. The tool uses advanced neural networks to provide personalized feedback to help individuals plan and balance daily activities, aiming to enhance self-management and patient-provider communication. Standard care in primary care will continue in parallel. The study will evaluate the feasibility of implementing Paindrainer® in primary care settings and its potential to support long-term management of persistent pain conditions.",[13],"Device: Paindrainer Care system",[15],{"type":16,"name":17,"description":18,"armGroupLabels":19,"otherNames":20},"DEVICE","Paindrainer Care system","Self management digital tool for chronic pain",[9],null,[22],{"name":23,"affiliation":24,"role":25},"Patrik Midlöv, Professor MD","Lunds Universitet","PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR",[27],{"name":23,"role":28,"phone":29,"phoneExt":20,"email":30},"CONTACT","+46040391363","patrik.midlov@med.lu.se",[32],{"facility":33,"status":34,"city":35,"state":36,"zip":37,"country":38,"countryCode":39,"cosmosGeoPoint":40,"geoPoint":45,"contacts":20},"Lunds Universitet Centrum för Primärvårdsforskning (CPF) Institutionen för kliniska vetenskaper, Malmö","RECRUITING","Malmö","Skåne County","214 28","Sweden","SE",{"type":41,"coordinates":42},"Point",[43,44],13.00073,55.60587,{"lat":44,"lon":43},{"type":47,"investigatorFullName":20,"investigatorTitle":20,"investigatorAffiliation":20,"oldNameTitle":20,"oldOrganization":20},"SPONSOR",[49],{"name":50,"class":6},"Region Skane","100603791","self-monitoring-and-remote-monitoring-of-chronic-pain-in-primary-care---using-a-digital-tool-to-improve-quality-of-life-100603791",false,"NCT07141108","Self-monitoring and Remote Monitoring of Chronic Pain in Primary Care - Using a Digital Tool to Improve Quality of Life","Egenmonitorering Och Distansmonitorering av långvarig smärta i primärvården, användandet av Ett Digitalt Verktyg för Att ökad livskvalité","Inclusion Criteria:\n\nHas pain that affects daily life and has lasted for more than 3 months\n\nIs over 18 years old\n\nUnderstands Swedish or English\n\nIs motivated and willing to use a digital tool for self-monitoring of activity level and symptoms\n\nHas no planned surgeries during the study period\n\nHas knowledge of and access to using a smartphone or tablet\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\nSevere or acute mental illness, severe anxiety, or depression\n\nOngoing history of substance use disorder\n\nSerious illness under active treatment\n\nPain related to malignancy\n\nCurrently involved in legal proceedings or ongoing litigation related to low back or neck pain\n\n\\-","ALL","18 Years",{"count":61,"type":62},30,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[65],"NA","Chronic pain impacts individuals, their families, and society significantly, yet specialist care resources are limited, with most patients managed in primary care. There is a need for tools that support self-management and improve resource allocation. This feasibility study evaluates the implementation of Paindrainer®, a CE-marked Class I digital tool, in primary care. Paindrainer® combines patient self-monitoring via an app with a healthcare provider portal (CARE) for remote monitoring.
