The questionnaire will be administered in the post-anesthesia care unit and during the postoperative follow-up period. Responses will be recorded by trained research staff or anesthesia team members. No experimental drug or additional therapeutic intervention will be applied. The collected data will be used to evaluate possible associations between postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) incidence and the menstrual cycle phase (follicular, ovulatory, or luteal). In addition, anesthetic records will be reviewed to document the use of routinely administered perioperative agents, including sugammadex, to assess their potential influence on PONV outcomes.",[9,19,15],[28],{"facility":29,"status":30,"city":31,"state":32,"zip":33,"country":34,"countryCode":10,"cosmosGeoPoint":35,"geoPoint":40,"contacts":41},"Sakarya University-Anesthesiology and Reanimation Department","RECRUITING","Sakarya","Serdivan","54050","Turkey (Türkiye)",{"type":36,"coordinates":37},"Point",[38,39],32.07583,39.50333,{"lat":39,"lon":38},[42],{"name":43,"role":44,"phone":45,"phoneExt":10,"email":46},"Ayça TAŞ TUNA, PROFFESOR","CONTACT","905323004826","aycatas@yahoo.com",{"type":48,"investigatorFullName":49,"investigatorTitle":50,"investigatorAffiliation":5,"oldNameTitle":10,"oldOrganization":10},"PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR","Burçin Alaçam, MD","Anesthesiology Specialist","100611563","sugammadex-and-menstrual-cycle-in-postoperative-nausea-and-vomiting-100611563",false,"NCT07242209","Sugammadex and Menstrual Cycle in Postoperative Nausea and Vomiting","The Relationship Between Menstrual Cycle Phases and Postoperative Nausea and Vomiting: The Role of Sugammadex","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Female sex\n* Age between 18 and 40 years\n* Regular menstrual cycle\n* Scheduled for ENT (ear, nose, and throat) surgery\n* Classified as ASA physical status I or II\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Irregular menstrual cycle\n* Unknown date of last menstrual period\n* Receiving estrogen and\u002For progesterone supplementation\n* Pre-menopausal or menopausal status\n* Pregnant\n* Breastfeeding\n* Classified as ASA physical status III or IV\n* Apfel score ≥ 3\n* History of drug allergy\n* Surgery duration exceeding 3 hours\n* Age \\\u003C18 or \\>40 years","FEMALE","18 Years","40 Years",{"count":62,"type":63},60,"ESTIMATED","3 Days","OBSERVATIONAL","This observational study aims to evaluate the relationship between menstrual cycle phases and the incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) in women of reproductive age undergoing septorhinoplasty surgery. The study's primary objective is to determine whether different phases of the menstrual cycle are associated with variations in PONV frequency. As a secondary objective, the relationship between menstrual phases, PONV incidence, and the use of sugammadex during anesthesia will be analyzed. No additional intervention will be applied beyond routine clinical practice; all data will be collected prospectively from anesthesia records and postoperative evaluations.",[68,69],"Postoperative Nausea and Vomiting","Menstrual Cycle",[71,72,73,74,75],"postoperative nausea and vomiting","menstruel cycle","septorhinoplasty","sugammadex","female reproductive age","2026-03-09",{"date":78,"type":79},"2026-03-10","ACTUAL",{"date":81,"type":79},"2025-12-18",{"date":83,"type":63},"2026-05-15",{"name":5,"class":6},1]
