Abbreviated Injury Scale \\\u003C 3 for non-extremity body systems\n4. can speak, read, and understand English\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n1. treated for a chronic pain condition prior to their qualifying injury\n2. on a pain contract\n3. pathologic fracture\n4. Daily use of gabapentin or opiods prior to enrollment\n\nControl Group:\n\nInclusion Criteria:\n\n1. 18-85 years of age\n2. can speak, read, and understand English\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n1. Chronic pain or an ongoing acute pain condition\n2. Currently or have previously sustained a bone fracture\n3. Current Pain medication usage\n4. Any previous orthopaedic surgical procedures\n5. Must have been free of any surgeries for at least 5 years\n6. Peripheral neuropathy\n7.
