After completing the program, participants will be offered three optional online group refresher sessions, scheduled 1, 3, and 6 months post-intervention. Some participants, based on the assessment of the group instructors, may be recommended for individual counseling sessions. After the intervention, the research team will provide participants with educational materials on medication management communication and encourage them to discuss long-term treatment plans with their attending psychiatrists, including the possibility of optimizing medication doses based on stable conditions . All medical decisions must be ultimately determined by the psychiatrist . To describe treatment exposure, we will collect treatment information from patients at baseline, post-intervention, and at 6, 12, 18, and 24 months follow-up. It includes a psychological diamond model of emotional distress and core intervention strategies (Liu, 2024). This program, in the form of mental health education courses, is suitable for patients with emotional disorders such as anxiety and depression. It has shown good effects in alleviating emotional distress in a series of preliminary studies (Ju et al., 2022; Li et al., 2023; Li et al., 2025; Wang et al., 2024). In this study, the intervention mainly adopts a step-care model, dynamically adjusting the intensity of the intervention according to the patient's recovery progress. All intervention content revolves around the four core transdiagnostic mechanisms of the MIED psychological diamond model and their corresponding core intervention strategies.",[9],[26],"MIED",[28],{"name":29,"affiliation":30,"role":31},"Xinghua Liu","School of Psychological and Cognitive Sciences,Peking University","PRINCIPAL_INVESTIGATOR",[33,38],{"name":34,"role":35,"phone":36,"phoneExt":18,"email":37},"Dongyang Chen","CONTACT","+8618810673387","psychen@stu.pku.edu.cn",{"name":39,"role":35,"phone":40,"phoneExt":18,"email":41},"Elena Gomzyakova","+8618665380155","lenagom@stu.pku.edu.cn",[43],{"facility":5,"status":44,"city":45,"state":18,"zip":18,"country":46,"countryCode":47,"cosmosGeoPoint":48,"geoPoint":53,"contacts":54},"RECRUITING","Beijing","China","CN",{"type":49,"coordinates":50},"Point",[51,52],116.39723,39.9075,{"lat":52,"lon":51},[55],{"name":34,"role":35,"phone":56,"phoneExt":18,"email":37},"86-18810673387",{"type":31,"investigatorFullName":29,"investigatorTitle":58,"investigatorAffiliation":5,"oldNameTitle":18,"oldOrganization":18},"Tenured Associate Professor",[60,63,65,67,69,71,73,75,77,79],{"name":61,"class":62},"WU'AN FIRST PEOPLE'S HOSPITAL","UNKNOWN",{"name":64,"class":62},"Xi'an Mental Health Center",{"name":66,"class":6},"The Second Hospital of Anhui Medical University",{"name":68,"class":62},"The Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Brain Hospital",{"name":70,"class":62},"DONG GUAN SEVENTH PEOPLE'S HOSPITAL",{"name":72,"class":62},"Affiliated Mental Health Center of Kunming Medical University",{"name":74,"class":6},"People's Hospital of Zhengzhou University",{"name":76,"class":62},"The Affiliated Brain Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University",{"name":78,"class":62},"THE SIXTH AFFILIATED HOSPITAL OF GUANGDONG PHARMACEUTICAL UNIVERSITY",{"name":80,"class":62},"Xiamen Medical College Affiliated Xian Yue Hospital","100628166","the-step-mied-trial-digital-stepped-care-for-emotional-disorders-100628166",false,"NCT07458100","The STEP-MIED Trial: Digital Stepped-Care for Emotional Disorders","Effectiveness and Cost-effectiveness of a Digital Stepped-care Mindfulness Intervention for Recovery From Emotional Disorders: a Multicentre Pragmatic Randomized Controlled Trial","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n1.
