Constant radicular pain associated with sensory loss is likely a confounder to dry needling treatment success;\n* NO HISTORY of receiving dry needling, to improve the effectiveness of the blind;\n* Demonstration of healthcare seeking at some point for LBP.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Back surgery within the past six months;\n* Active workers' compensation or litigation claims, since these patients are more likely to have exaggerated pain behavior;\n* New pain treatments within 2 weeks of enrollment;\n* Any clinically unstable systemic illness or condition that is judged to interfere with the trial;\n* Non-ambulatory status;\n* Not able to complete the questionnaire\n* Currently pregnant or have intentions to become pregnant during the study.","ALL","20 Years","70 Years",{"count":20,"type":21},80,"ESTIMATED","INTERVENTIONAL",[24],"NA","The goal of this clinical trial is to see if a body test called the NUN biomarker can track changes in chronic low back pain after dry needling and predict who will feel better. This study is for adults with chronic low back pain from muscle pain (Myofacial Pain).\n\nThe main questions are:\n\n* Does the biomarker drop when pain improves?\n* Can it predict who benefits most?\n* Do higher starting levels mean better results with real dry needling?\n\nInvestigators will compare real and fake (sham) dry needling using ultrasound, muscle pressure tests, and pain reports before and after treatment.",[27,28],"Chronic Low-back Pain (cLBP)","Myofacial Pain","RECRUITING","2025-12-23",{"date":32,"type":33},"2025-12-24","ACTUAL",{"date":35,"type":33},"2025-10-06",{"date":37,"type":21},"2027-08-31",{"name":39,"class":40},"Ajay Wasan, MD, Msc","OTHER",""]
