pancreatitis is an important gastrointestinal emergency that may lead to mortality, particularly in older patients. This retrospective, single-center observational prognostic validation study aims to compare the predictive performance of the National Early Warning Score 2 (NEWS-2) and NEWS-Calcium scores for in-hospital mortality in patients aged 65 years and older diagnosed with acute pancreatitis in the emergency department.\n\nElectronic medical records of eligible patients will be reviewed retrospectively. Demographic characteristics, vital signs, serum calcium levels, clinical outcomes, intensive care unit admission, organ failure, length of hospital stay, and in-hospital mortality will be recorded. NEWS-2 will be calculated using vital parameters at admission, while the NEWS-Calcium score will be obtained by adding a calcium-based score to NEWS-2.\n\nThe primary outcome will be in-hospital mortality. Secondary outcomes will include intensive care unit admission, severe acute pancreatitis, persistent organ failure, and length of hospital stay. The predictive performances of the scores will be compared using ROC curve analysis, AUC values, and the DeLong test. This study aims to identify the most appropriate early prognostic score for older patients with acute pancreatitis and to support clinical decision-making in emergency settings.",[139,140,141],"Acute Pancreatitis (AP)","News-2","Prediction of In-Hospital Mortality in Older Patients With Acute Pancreatitis",[143,144,145,146],"Acute Pancreatitis","In-Hospital Mortality","Older Adults","Emergency Department Risk Stratification",{"date":148,"type":40},"2026-06-11",{"date":150,"type":21},"2026-07-15",{"date":152,"type":21},"2026-10-15",{"name":46,"class":47},{"id":155,"slug":156,"hasResults":11,"nctId":157,"briefTitle":158,"officialTitle":159,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":160,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":17,"minAge":18,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":161,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":4,"briefSummary":163,"conditions":164,"keywords":168,"overallStatus":69,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":118,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":174,"startDateStruct":175,"completionDateStruct":177,"leadSponsor":179,"locationsCount":48},"100642262","pulmonary-artery-pressure-in-predicting-pulmonary-embolism-in-patients-presenting-to-the-emergency-department-with-dyspnea-100642262","NCT07641400","Pulmonary Artery Pressure in Predicting Pulmonary Embolism in Patients Presenting To The Emergency Department With Dyspnea","The Diagnostic Value of The Difference Between Prior and Immediate Pulmonary Artery Pressure in Predicting Pulmonary Embolism in Patients Presenting To The Emergency Department With Dyspnea","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Presenting to the emergency department with dyspnea between the specified dates,\n* Being 18 years of age or older,\n* Being evaluated in the emergency department with a preliminary diagnosis of pulmonary embolism,\n* Having a recorded pulmonary artery pressure measurement at the time of hospital admission,\n* Having a previous pulmonary artery pressure measurement in the patient's records,\n* Having sufficient and complete clinical, laboratory, imaging, and echocardiography data available for the study.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients under 18 years of age,\n* Lack of pulmonary artery pressure data from the time of emergency admission or from the previous period,\n* Lack of necessary clinical, laboratory, or imaging data for pulmonary embolism evaluation,\n* In cases of repeated admissions for the same patient, only the first suitable admission will be considered;
