Regional anesthesia efficacy is traditionally assessed through sensory and motor examination. However, objective physiologic markers reflecting sympathetic modulation remain limited. Forty five adults undergoing upper extremity surgery with BPB and general anesthesia, bilateral NoL monitoring will be performed during local anesthetic injection, endotracheal intubation, and nasogastric tube placement. The primary aim to investigate whether the brachial plexus block induces unilateral modulation of post-operative nervous system activity, assessed by inter-limb differences in NoL values during predefined nociceptive stimuli under general anesthesia. The secondary aim to evaluate the correlation between postoperative metrics, postoperative pain intensity, and analgesic consumption. From a clinical perspective, bilateral autonomic monitoring may offer a novel adjunctive method for intraoperative confirmation of block activity, particularly in sedated or anesthetized patients where traditional sensory testing is not feasible. Furthermore, inter-limb autonomic gradients could represent a future research pathway for objective assessment of regional anesthesia effectiveness beyond subjective pain scores.",[26],"Brachial Plexus Blockade",[28,29],"brachial plexus block upper extremity","nociception level","RECRUITING","2026-05-26",{"date":33,"type":34},"2026-06-02","ACTUAL",{"date":36,"type":34},"2023-03-28",{"date":38,"type":21},"2026-09-30",{"name":40,"class":41},"Carmel Medical Center","OTHER",1,{"id":44,"slug":45,"hasResults":11,"nctId":46,"briefTitle":47,"officialTitle":48,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":49,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":50,"minAge":18,"maxAge":51,"enrollmentInfo":52,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":54,"phases":55,"briefSummary":57,"conditions":58,"keywords":61,"overallStatus":30,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":66,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":67,"startDateStruct":69,"completionDateStruct":71,"leadSponsor":73,"locationsCount":42},"100599689","the-effect-of-temporary-ovarian-suspension-to-the-abdominal-wall-during-laparoscopic-endometriosis-surgery-for-adhesion-prevention--a-comparative-and-prospective-study-100599689","NCT07087756","The Effect of Temporary Ovarian Suspension to the Abdominal Wall During Laparoscopic Endometriosis Surgery for Adhesion Prevention -A Comparative and Prospective Study","The Effect of Temporary Ovarian Suspension to the Anterior Abdominal Wall During Laparoscopic Endometriosis Surgery for Adhesion Prevention -A Comparative and Prospective Study","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients with moderate to severe endometriosis with suspected adhesions, lesions in the ovary, ovarian fossa, utero-sacral ligaments, pouch of douglas, or involvement of the intestine as seen in preoperative assessment who are willing to participate in the study including postoperative follow-up assessments.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients who are not intended to have an endometriosis operation. A large body of research has shown that acupuncture and other integrative oncology (IO) modalities, when provided in conjunction with supportive care, can significantly address and alleviate QoL-related concerns. In the proposed study, we examine an innovative model of IO and palliative care, provided to patients with cancer during hospitalization.
