Male or female.\n2. Aged 70 years and over.\n3. Patients with a diagnosis of primary operable colorectal cancer where treatment includes a planned curative surgical procedure.\n4. About to undergo elective surgery for cancer.\n5. Mental capacity to consent.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n1. Patients with unresectable cancer.\n2. Patients presenting as an emergency.\n3. Patients who are having chemotherapy or radiotherapy before their surgery.","ALL","18 Years",{"count":19,"type":20},100,"ESTIMATED","OBSERVATIONAL","The study team will look at 3 new tests that will make it easier to measure frailty in patients awaiting surgery for cancer and compare them against standard clinical measures of frailty in a pilot study.
