The main strategy to mitigate neurological damage is hypothermic therapy (HT), whose effectiveness-among other factors-depends on adequate pain management. Considering the prevalence of allodynia in this group of patients, routine nursing procedures can become sources of additional stress and pain. Music therapy is used in this population to promote self-regulation and relaxation, and may therefore help reduce pain levels after routine nursing procedures.\n\nResearch question: What is the effect of an entrainment-based live music therapy intervention on pain levels in newborns with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy undergoing hypothermic therapy after routine nursing procedures? Methodology: A randomized, crossover pilot and feasibility study. Participants will be 22 newborns admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the University Hospital Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá. Participants will receive standard care plus a 15-minute live music therapy session after a routine nursing procedure, or standard care alone. The primary outcome is the Premature Infant Pain Profile-Revised (PIPP-R) scale, which will be assessed through video recordings. Secondary outcomes are vital signs, heart rate variability, and electroencephalography (EEG) recordings.\n\nExpected outcomes: Through this study, the aim is to improve the comfort and well-being of patients with HIE during TH. In addition, the safety and feasibility of music therapy in this population will be evaluated, seeking to contribute to current knowledge about the mechanisms of music therapy.",[27,28,29,30,31,32],"Music Therapy","Pain","Allodynia","Neonates","NICU","Hypothermia Neonatal","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2025-09-17",{"date":36,"type":37},"2025-09-23","ACTUAL",{"date":39,"type":21},"2025-10-30",{"date":41,"type":21},"2027-08-01",{"name":43,"class":44},"Fundación Santa Fe de Bogota","OTHER",1,{"id":47,"slug":48,"hasResults":11,"nctId":49,"briefTitle":50,"officialTitle":51,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":52,"healthyVolunteers":53,"sex":16,"minAge":4,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":54,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":56,"briefSummary":57,"conditions":58,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":63,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":64,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":65,"startDateStruct":67,"completionDateStruct":69,"leadSponsor":71,"locationsCount":45},"100588286","music-therapy-and-humanization-in-ed-healthcare-professionals-100588286","NCT06939426","Music Therapy and Humanization in ED Healthcare Professionals","Impact of a Short Music Therapy Program on Intra- and Interpersonal Factors of Humanized Care in a Group of Emergency Nursing Staff at the University Hospital Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá: a Mixed-methods Pilot and Feasibility Study","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Be a member of the emergency department nursing staff at the FSFB for a minimum of 6 months.\n* Be able to commit to participating in eight music therapy sessions over a four-week period.\n* Have the minimum reading skills to understand the questionnaires\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n\\- Staff with untreated mental health disorders.",true,{"count":55,"type":21},25,[24],"Background: Healthcare professionals in emergency departments frequently experience stressful situations that could jeopardize their mental health, sense of purpose, and ability to empathize with patients, families, and colleagues.\n\nResearch question: What is the impact of a short music therapy program on the intra- and interpersonal factors of humanized care among emergency nursing staff at the University Hospital Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá (FSFB)? Methodology: This research is a mixed-methods pilot and feasibility study. For the quantitative component, we will apply the HUMAS (Healthcare Professional Humanization Scale) and ProQOL (Professional Quality of Life) measure at the start and at the end of the music therapy program. For the qualitative component, focus group interviews will be conducted and analyzed via thematic analysis.\n\nDiscussion: This study seeks to support the nursing staff of the FSFB emergency
