These conditions result in long-term health consequences and require significant ongoing treatment and care. Among them, ischemic heart diseases-most notably acute myocardial infarction-are highly prevalent. Globally, cardiovascular diseases are closely linked to physical inactivity as a major modifiable risk factor. In this context, exercise and physical activity have become public health priorities, with international guidelines recommending at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity activity per week.\n\nIn Colombia, physical exercise is recognized as a key strategy for the prevention and management of non-communicable chronic diseases, as outlined in the national ten-year public health plan. However, evidence shows that few clinical services at the national or regional level consistently monitor or follow up on the proper prescription of exercise as a therapeutic strategy for cardiovascular disease management.\n\nThis study aims to describe the effectiveness of structured physical exercise on the aerobic capacity of patients with cardiovascular disease.",[24,25,26],"Cardiovascular Diseases","Exercise","Aerobic Capacity",[28,29,30],"cardiovascula diseases","exercise","aerobic capacity","RECRUITING","2025-07-08",{"date":34,"type":35},"2025-07-11","ACTUAL",{"date":37,"type":35},"2025-01-01",{"date":39,"type":20},"2026-08-30",{"name":41,"class":42},"Fundacion Universitaria Maria Cano","OTHER",1,{"id":45,"slug":46,"hasResults":11,"nctId":47,"briefTitle":48,"officialTitle":49,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":50,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":15,"minAge":51,"maxAge":17,"enrollmentInfo":52,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":21,"phases":4,"briefSummary":54,"conditions":55,"keywords":60,"overallStatus":31,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":62,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":63,"startDateStruct":65,"completionDateStruct":67,"leadSponsor":69,"locationsCount":43},"100552663","effectiveness-of-physical-exercise-of-patients-with-chronic-non-communicable-disease-100552663","NCT06476015","Effectiveness of Physical Exercise of Patients With Chronic Non-communicable Disease","Effectiveness of Physical Exercise on Frailty, Body Composition and Functional Classification of Patients With Chronic Non-communicable Disease","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Records between 2018 and 2023\n* Men and women, between 60 and 90 years old.\n* Clinical diagnosis of COPD and\u002For diabetes.\n* Must be patient from program called \"Ser más\".\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Records containing incomplete data","60 Years",{"count":53,"type":20},300,"According to the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), chronic, non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are the main cause of death and disability in the world.
