The main question it aims to answer is: Does a MIWT program induce differential improvements in aerobic capacity, body composition, lipid profile, and inflammatory markers between premenopausal and postmenopausal women?

Participants in the premenopausal group will perform a 10-week MIWT program, three sessions per week. Participants in the postmenopausal group will perform the same 10-week MIWT program, three sessions per week. Each training session consists of 5 repetitions of 6-minute walking (6MWT) at 60-80% of the baseline 6MWT distance, interspersed by 6 minutes of active recovery between repetitions. Body composition, aerobic capacity (6-minute walk test), heart rate, blood pressure, lipid profile (total cholesterol, LDL-C, HDL-C, triglycerides), and C-reactive protein (CRP) will be assessed before and after the intervention in both groups.",[27],"Cardiometabolic Health in Premenopausal and Postmenopausal Women",[29,30,31,32,33,34,35],"Intermittent walking","Premenopausal women","Postmenopausal women","Cardiometabolic health","C-reactive protein","Lipid profile","Aerobic capacity","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-04-21
2026-04-29","ACTUAL
2026-05-21
2026-08-20
High Institute of Sports and Physical Education of Kef","OTHER",1
"100613266","cardiometabolic-and-hormonal-adaptations-to-4-month-zumba-training-in-overweightobese-women-100613266","NCT07264348","Cardiometabolic and Hormonal Adaptations to 4-Month Zumba Training in Overweight/Obese Women","Effects of a 4-month Intervention on Cardiometabolic, Hormonal, Inflammatory, Liver, Renal, Electrolyte, and Muscle Enzyme Parameters in Pre- and Post-Menopausal Overweight and Obese Women: A Randomized Controlled Trial","Inclusion Criteria:

* Female, aged 18-65 years
* BMI ≥ 25 kg/m²
* Pre-menopausal or post-menopausal (classified clinically)
* Voluntary written informed consent

Exclusion Criteria:

* Hormonal therapy or weight-loss medications
* Endocrine diseases or chronic illness
* Recent intense physical training (<48 hours before baseline)","18 Years
73,[24],"This study aims to evaluate the effects of a 4 month Zumba training program on cardiometabolic, hormonal, inflammatory, hepatic, renal, and functional parameters in overweight and obese women.
