The main questions it aims to answer are: What is the prevalence of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) in patients with functional dyspepsia? Wich are the clinical characteristics associated with (EPI) in patients with functional dyspepsia? Patients diagnosed with functional dyspepsia will undergo an evaluation of clinical symptoms and fecal elastase determination. In those with fecal elastase levels below 100 µg/g, an endoscopic ultrasound and other assessments will be performed to define the cause of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI).",[25,26],"Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency","Dyspepsia",[28,29,30],"Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency","Functional dyspepsia","Fecal elastase","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2025-08-05
2025-08-08","ACTUAL
2025-09-01
2026-08-01
Maria Marta Piskorz","OTHER
"100574289","fatty-liver-and-pancreatic-steatosis-100574289","NCT06757348","Fatty Liver and Pancreatic Steatosis","Association Between Fatty Liver and Pancreatic Steatosis in Patients With Metabolic Syndrome","Inclusion Criteria:

* Patients over 18 years old with a diagnosis of Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Fatty Liver Disease (MAFLD).

Exclusion Criteria:

* \\- Alcohol consumption \\>20 g/day in women, \\>30 g/day in men
* Chronic hepatitis B or C infection
* Autoimmune liver diseases: autoimmune hepatitis, primary biliary cholangitis, primary sclerosing cholangitis
* Hereditary hemochromatosis
* Wilson's disease
* Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency
* Celiac disease
* Uncontrolled thyroid disease
* Active or chronic infectious disease
* Active cancer or ongoing treatment
* Chronic renal insufficiency
* Pregnancy/lactation
* Insufficient data
* Patients who do not complete follow-up
61,"The goal of this observational study is to determine the prevalence of pancreatic steatosis in patients with fatty liver and determine the prevalence of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) in these patients.

Participants with fatty liver and metabolic syndrome will undergo fecal elastase measurement and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).",[25,54,55],"Fatty Liver, Nonalcoholic","Pancreatic Steatosis",[57,58,59],"Fatty liver","Pancreatic steatosis","Metabolic syndrome
2025-08-06
"2026-03-01
1,""]
