The study will also look at how satisfied participants are with each preparation. The main questions it aims to answer are:\n\n* Which bowel preparation helps more participants achieve adequate bowel cleansing before repeat colonoscopy?\n* Which bowel preparation leads to better cleansing in different parts of the colon?\n* Which bowel preparation is better tolerated by participants?\n\nResearchers will compare 3 rescue bowel preparation regimens to see which one works best for repeat colonoscopy after a previous cleansing failure.\n\nParticipants will:\n\n* be randomly assigned to 1 of 3 bowel preparation regimens\n* take one of the following regimens before repeat colonoscopy:\n* 4 liters of polyethylene glycol (PEG) plus 12 milligrams of bisacodyl\n* 1 liter of PEG plus ascorbic acid plus 10 milligrams of bisacodyl\n* 2 liters of PEG plus extra PEG taken over the 3 days before colonoscopy\n* undergo repeat colonoscopy\n* rate their satisfaction with the bowel preparation",[26,27],"Bowel Cleansing for Colonoscopy","Inadequate Bowel Preparation",[29,30,31],"Rescue bowel preparation","Bowel preparation","Colonoscopy","RECRUITING","2026-05-12",{"date":35,"type":36},"2026-05-14","ACTUAL",{"date":38,"type":36},"2024-01-02",{"date":40,"type":20},"2026-06",{"name":42,"class":43},"Ospedale San Pio","OTHER",""]
