The question it aims to answer is:\n\nDoes the Setswana translation of the QoR-15 serve as a valid, reliable and user friendly tool for assessing postoperative recovery in Setswana speaking patients undergoing orthopaedic surgery at a tertiary hospital in Gauteng, South Africa?\n\nThe participants will be asked to complete the Setswana-translated QoR-15 questionnaire both preoperatively and postoperatively.\n\nIn addition, they will be asked to rate their overall postoperative recovery using a visual analog scale (VAS).",[24,25],"Quality of Recovery (QoR-15)","Quality of Recovery From Anaesthesia",[27,28],"Setswana translated QoR-15","Quality of Recovery in patients undergoing orthopaedic surgery","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2025-09-18",{"date":32,"type":33},"2025-09-26","ACTUAL",{"date":35,"type":20},"2025-10-15",{"date":37,"type":20},"2025-12-30",{"name":39,"class":40},"Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University","OTHER",1,{"id":43,"slug":44,"hasResults":11,"nctId":45,"briefTitle":46,"officialTitle":47,"acronym":48,"eligibilityCriteria":49,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":17,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":50,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":21,"phases":4,"briefSummary":52,"conditions":53,"keywords":55,"overallStatus":29,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":59,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":60,"startDateStruct":62,"completionDateStruct":64,"leadSponsor":66,"locationsCount":4},"100443255","the-south-african-collaborative-surgical-outcomes-study-sacsos-100443255","NCT05052021","The South African Collaborative Surgical Outcomes Study (SACSOS)","A Prospective Observational Cohort Study of Patient-reported Outcomes After Surgery Using a Digital Health Platform","SACSOS","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Adult patients presenting for any surgical procedure at South African hospitals during the specified study period.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients unable to provide consent to participation.\n* Patients whose legal guardian is unable to provide consent to participation (if applicable).\n* Patients unable to nominate next-of-kin, guardian of or a person of their choice, as their representative during follow-up.",{"count":51,"type":20},1000,"Improving quality of perioperative care depends on reliable measurement of clinically important and patient-centred data, that will allow collaborative decision-making between patient and clinician. The use of digital health tools to share person-centric data with the aim of improving quality of care is encouraged by the World Health Organization Global Strategy on Digital Health. With virtual and online communication becoming a universal feature of modern life, there is a promising opportunity to engage patients and clinicians in perioperative data collection using digital health platforms. The Perioperative Shared Health Record (PSHR), developed by Safe Surgery South Africa, provides the opportunity to capture standardised patient-centric postoperative outcomes measures, like Quality of Recovery (QOR), Health Related Quality of Life (HRQOL), the WHO Disability Assessment Schedule (WHODAS). These are all standardised measures and questionnaires, which have been recommended by working groups focused on the patient's experience after surgery. The PSHR enables sharing of data between the surgical patient and his\u002Fher clinical team (surgeons and anaesthetists).",[54],"Postoperative Complications",[56,57,58],"Outcome measures","Peri-operative care","Patient-centered care","2025-05-19",{"date":61,"type":33},"2025-05-23",{"date":63,"type":20},"2025-06-01",{"date":65,"type":20},"2027-06-30",{"name":39,"class":40},""]
