It can make people ill, impact their quality of life, and increase their use of healthcare services. In some parts of Greenland, it can be particularly challenging to manage COPD due to the distance to healthcare assistants, nurses, or doctors. Telerehabilitation, which allows people to receive treatment online, could be a good solution.\n\nThis project aims to explore how we can best support COPD patients in Nuuk through an online rehabilitation program. The program functions as a pilot study, where we examine how it can be adapted and scaled across Greenland and to patients with other conditions. We will assess how well the program meets patients' needs and determine what adjustments are necessary to improve it.\n\nThe study will include 10 individuals with COPD living in Nuuk. They will receive training materials and have an initial meeting with a physiotherapist to set goals. For 10 weeks, they will participate in online training sessions twice a week. Through their feedback, we hope to identify ways to make the program more effective and tailored.\n\nBefore the training program begins, participants will have various health metrics measured, complete a questionnaire, and perform a physical test. This will be repeated after the training program is completed to assess any changes in the participants.\n\nWe hope that the results will provide insights into improving the treatment of COPD patients and guide necessary adjustments for future rollout across Greenland and to other disease groups. All participants will provide consent for their involvement, and their data will be treated anonymously.",[24],"Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)",[26,27,28,29],"Greenland","COPD","telerehabilitation","feasibility","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2024-10-24",{"date":33,"type":34},"2024-10-28","ACTUAL",{"date":36,"type":19},"2024-11-01",{"date":38,"type":19},"2025-02-15",{"name":40,"class":41},"Steno Diabetes Center Greenland","OTHER",{"id":43,"slug":44,"hasResults":11,"nctId":45,"briefTitle":46,"officialTitle":46,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":47,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":48,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":49,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":51,"phases":52,"briefSummary":54,"conditions":55,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":62,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":63,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":64,"startDateStruct":66,"completionDateStruct":68,"leadSponsor":70,"locationsCount":71},"100536407","phenotypic-and-genotypic-characterization-of-patients-with-dysmetabolism-in-greenland-100536407","NCT06264427","Phenotypic and Genotypic Characterization of Patients With Dysmetabolism in Greenland","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Type 2 diabetes and\u002For morbid obesity (BMI \\>40)\n* Over 18 years old\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Does not speak either English, Danish or Greenlandic","18 Years",{"count":50,"type":19},1000,"INTERVENTIONAL",[53],"NA","The goal of this clinical trial is to perform a detailed description of the feno- and genotype of people living with type 2 diabetes and severe obesity who are linked to care at Steno Diabetes Center Greenland.\n\nThe main questions it aims to answer are:\n\n* Are monogenetic diabetes variants associated with the same risk of developing late diabetic complications as other types of diabetes?\n* Can genotyping and thereby personalized medicine be implemented in Greenland, and can personalized medicine lead to improved treatment?\n* What is the prevalence of sleep apnea among high-risk individuals in Greenland?\n* Is it possible to develop and implement a simple algorithm for the identification of sleep apnea in Greenland that can ensure treatment of severe sleep apnea?\n\nParticipants will:\n\n* Answer WHO-5 and FOSQ-10 questionnaires regarding quality of life and functional outcomes of sleepiness\n* Perform VAGUS examinations for Cardiovasculare Autonomic Neuropathy\n* Clinical examination of height, weight, circumference of hip, waist and neck, Friedman tonsil and tongue score, nasal air flow, nasal septal deviation\n* Blood samples for full genome sequencing",[56,57,58,59,60,61],"Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2","Obesity, Morbid","Obstructive Sleep Apnea","MODY","Diabetic Retinopathy","Diabetic Neuropathies","RECRUITING","2024-02-15",{"date":65,"type":34},"2024-02-20",{"date":67,"type":34},"2022-07-15",{"date":69,"type":19},"2026-12-31",{"name":40,"class":41},1,""]
