The IVC diameter and collapsibility index will be measured using ultrasonography at predefined perioperative time points. Hemodynamic parameters such as blood pressure and heart rate will also be recorded. The study seeks to determine whether the IVC collapsibility index can be used as a non-invasive indicator of intravascular volume status and hemodynamic changes during lumbar spine surgery.",[24,25,26],"Lumbar Spine Surgery","Hemodynamic Changes","Intravascular Volume Status",[28],"Inferior Vena Cava • IVC Collapsibility Index • Lumbar Stabilization Surgery • Hemodynamic Monitoring","RECRUITING","2026-04-17",{"date":32,"type":33},"2026-04-23","ACTUAL",{"date":35,"type":33},"2026-02-15",{"date":37,"type":20},"2026-07-15",{"name":39,"class":40},"Trabzon Kanuni Education and Research Hospital","OTHER",{"id":42,"slug":43,"hasResults":11,"nctId":44,"briefTitle":45,"officialTitle":46,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":47,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":17,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":48,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":50,"phases":51,"briefSummary":53,"conditions":54,"keywords":56,"overallStatus":29,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":61,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":62,"startDateStruct":64,"completionDateStruct":66,"leadSponsor":68,"locationsCount":69},"100630035","comparison-of-airway-ultrasonography-and-laryngoscopy-methods-in-obese-patients-100630035","NCT07482436","Comparison of Airway Ultrasonography and Laryngoscopy Methods in Obese Patients","The Effect of Preoperative and Postoperative Airway Ultrasonography and Different Laryngoscope Uses on Intubation Success and Postoperative Complications in Obese Patients","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients who have given their consent\n* Patients who underwent surgery under general anesthesia\n* Patients over eighteen years of age\n* Patients with an American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classification of I-II-III\n* Patients with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 kg\u002Fm2 or higher\n* Patients whose surgery lasts between 60 and 150 minutes\n* Patients who underwent surgery under elective conditions will be included.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients who do not consent,\n* those undergoing head and neck surgery,\n* those to be operated on in the prone position,\n* uncooperative patients (patients with whom communication is not possible),\n* those with craniofacial anomalies,\n* patients operated on in emergency situations will be excluded from the study.",{"count":49,"type":20},180,"INTERVENTIONAL",[52],"NA","The main objective of this study was to examine the relationship between classical markers used in assessing difficult airway management in obese patients (Mallampati score, thyromental distance, sternomental distance, neck circumference measurement) and ultrasonographic parameters (vocal cord mobility, glottic opening, hyomental distance, skin-epiglottic distance, and peri-epiglottic space-epiglottic-vocal cord ratio), to compare the effects of these parameters on predicting difficult intubation, and to investigate the effects of different laryngoscopy methods on intubation success and peroperative respiratory complications.\n\nThe secondary objective of the study is to investigate the effects of different laryngoscopy methods on hemodynamic responses to intubation.
