The main questions are: If the digital prehabilitation is feasible and acceptable by the colorectal cancer patient prior to elective surgery? If this prehabilitation helps to improve the postoperative complications, length of stay, physical activity and psychological well-being for colorectal cancer patients receiving surgery.

Researcher will compare the prehabilitation plus standard care to standard care only to see if the prehabiliation helps the colorectal cancer patients.

Participants will: 1) enrolled in a approximate 4 weeks (3 episodes/ week) prehabilitation program containing educational information of colorectal cancer, dietary advice, exercises training and psychological podcasting. 2) will answer the survey weekly and after surgery. 3) keep the standard care as per department guidelines",[26],"Colorectal Cancer (Diagnosis)",[28],"Prehabilitation","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-01-29
2026-02-03","ACTUAL
2026-01-15
2027-03-31
Tseung Kwan O Hospital, Hong Kong","OTHER",1
"100533434","a-prospective-trial-comparing-transoral-endoscopic-thyroidectomy-vestibular-approach-toetva-and-conventional-open-thyroidectomy-100533434","NCT06225765","A Prospective Trial Comparing Transoral Endoscopic Thyroidectomy Vestibular Approach (TOETVA) and Conventional Open Thyroidectomy","Inclusion Criteria:

* Benign thyroid nodule less than 4cm
* Suspicious malignant thyroid nodule less than 2cm, suitable for transoral endoscopic surgery

Exclusion Criteria:

* Patients under 18 years old
* Contraindication to general anaesthesia
* Vulnerable population (e.g. Cognitive impairment, pregnant)
* Previous anterior neck surgery
* Previous radiotherapy at the head and neck region
* Malignant thyroid nodule \\> 2cm
* Presence of another malignancy, lateral neck, or distant metastasis
* Retrosternal goitre
* Cervical spine disease precluding extension of the neck
* Obesity with BMI \\> 35kg/m2
* Severe concomitant illness that drastically shortens life expectancy or increases risk of therapeutic intervention
* Untreated active infection
* Non-correctable coagulopathy
* Emergency surgery
40,[23],"To determine if transoral endoscopic thyroidectomy vestibular approach (TOETVA) is a safe and effective procedure compared to traditional open thyroidectomy. Each year, some 100 total thyroidectomies are performed in Kowloon East Cluster, Hospital Authority, Hong Kong. Total thyroidectomy is associated with voice dysfunction and temporary hypocalcaemia in up to 80% and 50%, respectively. Previous study from our institute showed a 3% rate of permanent vocal cord palsy and 16% of permanent hypoparathyroidism requiring calcium and/or vitamin D supplements. The use of dexamethasone has been studied in the past in total thyroidectomy patients and has been shown to be safe and effective in improving post-operative nausea and vomiting. No complications or drug related side effects were associated with a single dose of steroid. Recent studies have also shown that Dexamethasone is effective in improving voice outcome and hypocalcaemia in thyroidectomy patients. The investigators aim to study the effect of Dexamethasone in post-operative voice outcome and hypocalcaemia. Objective assessment of the vocal cords during phonation will be performed pre-operative and post-operatively. Serum Calcium level will be monitored.",[78,79],"Voice Change","Hypocalcemia",[81,82,83,79,84,85,86,87],"Voice dysfunction","Hoarseness of Voice","Vocal cord palsy","Hypoparathyroidism","Thyroidectomy","Dexamethasone","Steroid
""]
