In recent years, many patients have developed infections that do not respond to routine antifungal treatments, which causes long-term itching, redness, and scaling of the skin.\n\nThis study will test two commonly used oral antifungal drugs - fluconazole and itraconazole - in people with resistant tinea corporis. Adults aged 18-70 years who have had persistent disease for at least six months will be enrolled at the Dermatology Department of CDA Hospital, Islamabad.\n\nParticipants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. One group will receive itraconazole 200 mg once daily for four weeks, and the other group will receive fluconazole 150 mg every other day for four weeks. Neither group will know which medicine they are receiving (blinded allocation).\n\nThe main goal is to find out which medicine works better in achieving complete clinical resolution - meaning no redness, no scaling, no itching, and no visible skin lesions - after four weeks of treatment. Doctors will measure the severity of symptoms using a standard scoring system, and patients will also report their level of itching.\n\nThe findings will help guide doctors in Pakistan and similar regions in choosing the most effective oral antifungal for patients with resistant tinea corporis, improving both treatment success and patient quality of life.",[27,28],"Tinea Corporis","Dermatophytosis",[27,28,30,31,32,33,34],"Antifungal Resistance","Fluconazole","Itraconazole","Randomized Controlled Trial","Pakistan","RECRUITING","2026-01-14",{"date":38,"type":39},"2026-01-15","ACTUAL",{"date":41,"type":39},"2025-11-01",{"date":43,"type":21},"2026-03-10",{"name":45,"class":46},"Urooj Fatima","OTHER",1,{"id":49,"slug":50,"hasResults":11,"nctId":51,"briefTitle":52,"officialTitle":53,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":54,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":17,"maxAge":18,"enrollmentInfo":55,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":57,"briefSummary":59,"conditions":60,"keywords":64,"overallStatus":65,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":66,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":67,"startDateStruct":69,"completionDateStruct":71,"leadSponsor":72,"locationsCount":47},"100580818","to-compare-the-effect-of-two-instrumentation-techniques-on-the-incidence-of-post-endodontic-pain-in-patients-undergoing-root-canal-treatment-in-teeth-with-irreversible-pulpitis-100580818","NCT06842251","To COMPARE the EFFECT of TWO INSTRUMENTATION TECHNIQUES on the INCIDENCE of POST-ENDODONTIC PAIN in PATIENTS UNDERGOING ROOT CANAL TREATMENT in TEETH with IRREVERSIBLE PULPITIS","A COMPARISON of EFFECT of TWO INSTRUMENTATION TECHNIQUES on the INCIDENCE of POST-ENDODONTIC PAIN in PATIENTS UNDERGOING ROOT CANAL TREATMENT","Inclusion Criteria:1.Patients of both genders having age 18-70 years, no history of analgesics within the past 1 week ,subjects with no periapical radiolucency, teeth having completely formed tooth apex ,permanent posterior teeth with symptomatic\u002Fasymptomatic irreversible pulpitis, subjects who provided the consent for study participation\n\n\\-\n\nExclusion Criteria: Subjects with a history of trauma, previous root canal treatment, associated systemic diseases ,pregnant females, subjects on analgesics or antibiotics, complaints of tenderness and pain within the past 5 days, extreme root curvature, calcified canals ,external or internal resorption.\n\n\\-",{"count":56,"type":21},70,[58],"NA","The aim of this study is to compare the post endodontic pain in patients presenting with irreversible pulpitis and undergoing root canal treatment with two techniques.
