Here, we employ a repeated-measures, randomized controlled trial to establish the efficacy of listener training for patients with PD and their primary communication partners. This translational work will establish a new realm of clinical practice in which the intelligibility impairments in PD are addressed by training partners to better understand dysarthric speech, thus elevating communication outcomes and participation in daily life.",[25],"Dysarthria, Hypokinetic",[27,28,29,30],"Dysarthria","Parkinson's disease","Speech","Listener","RECRUITING","2026-04-22",{"date":34,"type":35},"2026-04-23","ACTUAL",{"date":37,"type":35},"2025-04-07",{"date":39,"type":19},"2029-05-01",{"name":41,"class":42},"Utah State University","OTHER",{"id":44,"slug":45,"hasResults":11,"nctId":46,"briefTitle":47,"officialTitle":48,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":49,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":15,"minAge":16,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":50,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":20,"phases":52,"briefSummary":53,"conditions":54,"keywords":56,"overallStatus":31,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":59,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":60,"startDateStruct":62,"completionDateStruct":64,"leadSponsor":66,"locationsCount":67},"100609927","digital-intervention-for-adults-with-misophonia-a-randomized-controlled-trial-100609927","NCT07220941","Digital Intervention for Adults With Misophonia: A Randomized Controlled Trial","Efficacy and Feasibility of an Online Acceptance Based Intervention for Misophonia: A Randomized Controlled Trial","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Currently meet clinical impairment for misophonia.\n* At least 18 years old.\n* Fluent English speakers.\n* Currently live or reside in the United States\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Currently receiving alternative psychotherapy for misophonia.\n* Currently modifying or starting psychotropic medication (within 30 days of starting the study).\n* Any psychological and\u002For neurological impairments that would preclude someone from participating in the study (e.g.,active self-harm or psychosis)",{"count":51,"type":19},100,[22],"The goal of this clinical trial is to test an online intervention for adults with misophonia.
