We will partner with three nearby Latinx resource centers in addition to a Head Start program that provides preschool to a large number of Latinx families. The project will use an iterative approach to modifying the intervention and will occur in five steps. In step 1, we will conduct focus groups with caregivers and staff from the 3 Latinx resource centers to identify changes to make to the intervention materials. In step 2, we will make modifications to the program materials. In step 3, we will conduct additional focus groups to seek feedback about the revised program materials. In step 4, we will pilot test the revised program materials, and in step 5 we will conduct the RCT of the modified program materials with caregivers of children ages 2-5. We will examine the effect of the modified intervention on caregivers' supervision of their children (using self-reports and observations) and on children's minor injury frequency.",[28],"Healthy","RECRUITING","2025-09-24",{"date":32,"type":33},"2025-10-02","ACTUAL",{"date":35,"type":33},"2024-05-09",{"date":37,"type":22},"2026-08-30",{"name":39,"class":40},"Western Michigan University","OTHER",1,{"id":43,"slug":44,"hasResults":11,"nctId":45,"briefTitle":46,"officialTitle":47,"acronym":48,"eligibilityCriteria":49,"healthyVolunteers":16,"sex":17,"minAge":50,"maxAge":51,"enrollmentInfo":52,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":23,"phases":54,"briefSummary":55,"conditions":56,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":29,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":60,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":61,"startDateStruct":63,"completionDateStruct":65,"leadSponsor":67,"locationsCount":41},"100597825","transcutaneous-electrical-stimulation-and-controlled-heat-in-people-with-and-without-diabetes-100597825","NCT07063524","Transcutaneous Electrical Stimulation and Controlled Heat in People With and Without Diabetes","Principle Investigator","TENS","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Male or Female aged between 45-75 years old\n* Clinical diagnosis of Type I or Type II diabetes\n* Controlled diabetes mellitus (HbA1c ≤ 7%)\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Pregnancy\n* Current smoker\n* Diagnosed neuropathy\n* Uncontrolled hypertension (HTN)\n* Allergy to tape or electrodes\n* Diagnosis of dementia\n* History of knee joint replacement\n* Significant joint pain (e.g., back, hip, or ankle) that may limit the ability to wear a boot for 60 minutes\n* Contraindications to TENS, including:\n\n * Presence of pacemakers\n * Dermatological conditions\n * Abnormal sensation in the knees\n* Severe medical or neurological conditions, including:\n\n * Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease\n * Cardiovascular disease\n * Arteriosclerosis obliterans\n * Cerebrovascular accident\n * Lumbar disc disorders (e.g., herniation)\n * Rheumatoid arthritis\n* Fear of electrical stimulation","45 Years","75 Years",{"count":53,"type":22},20,[25],"The investigators would like to see if the combination of TENS and controlled heat in a boot increases blood flow to the foot more than baseline or heat alone in people with and without diabetes.
