A wide range of statistical methods as well as machine learning approaches were explored, and a cohesive hierarchical clustering algorithm will be used. After developing the model, a symptom-matched intervention program based on problem solving therapy will be formulated. We are supposed to examine whether its use for personalizing symptom-matched psychological treatment can lead to improved patient outcomes, compared with usual care. This project is expected to provide a new and precise method for the emotion management, which will provide a standardized intervention pathway combining screening with treatment for the management of depression symptom and anxiety symptom. A preciser intervention matched to individual symptoms may provide important insight in improving patient outcome as well as a standardized mood management pathway targeting to the early detection and intervention for community residents.",[27],"Depression and Anxiety Symptom",[29,30,31,32,33],"machine learning approach","CBT","PST","depression","anxiety","RECRUITING","2026-05-07",{"date":37,"type":38},"2026-05-12","ACTUAL",{"date":40,"type":38},"2025-09-01",{"date":42,"type":21},"2026-12-01",{"name":44,"class":45},"Wuhan Mental Health Centre","OTHER",1,{"id":48,"slug":49,"hasResults":11,"nctId":50,"briefTitle":51,"officialTitle":52,"acronym":53,"eligibilityCriteria":54,"healthyVolunteers":55,"sex":16,"minAge":56,"maxAge":57,"enrollmentInfo":58,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":60,"phases":4,"briefSummary":61,"conditions":62,"keywords":64,"overallStatus":66,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":67,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":68,"startDateStruct":70,"completionDateStruct":71,"leadSponsor":73,"locationsCount":46},"100601563","multimodal-identification-of-depressive-symptoms-in-the-elderly-100601563","NCT07112118","Multimodal Identification of Depressive Symptoms in the Elderly","Multimodal Identification of Depressive Symptoms","multimodal","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Elderly individuals aged 60 years or older.\n* Residents of the community (with residence time of more than 6 months).\n* Possessing certain reading, writing and comprehension skills, being able to communicate with researchers without obstacles, and being able to independently complete the measurement of various indicators or, although unable to independently fill out the questionnaire, being able to independently make evaluations of the questionnaire items.\n* Those who have given informed consent.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Those who meet the diagnostic criteria for cognitive impairment (dementia) as stipulated in DSM-5, and\u002For who suffer from severe physical diseases (such as advanced cancer, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, etc.).\n* Those who are undergoing antidepressant treatment.\n* Elderly individuals who have had suicidal thoughts in any psychological assessment, should be referred to the psychological hotline platform in Wuhan.",true,"60 Years","100 Years",{"count":59,"type":21},2000,"OBSERVATIONAL","Screening with depression scales alone is subjective, and relying on single-modal data often leads to incomplete identification of symptoms that are easily missed or misdiagnosed.
