Endoscopic rubber band ligation is a commonly used, minimally invasive treatment for internal hemorrhoids, but postoperative anal pain is a frequent and sometimes severe complication that can affect daily activities and recovery.\n\nParticipants undergoing endoscopic rubber band ligation will be randomly assigned to receive either nitroglycerin ointment or a placebo ointment applied locally after the procedure. Both participants and investigators will be blinded to the treatment assignment. All participants will receive the same standard perioperative care, and rescue pain medication will be provided when necessary.\n\nThe primary goal of the study is to compare the proportion of patients who require rescue pain medication within 72 hours after the procedure between the two groups. Secondary outcomes include pain intensity at multiple time points, time to complete pain relief, postoperative complications, treatment-related adverse events, and overall treatment effectiveness at 30 days. The results of this study may help identify a safe and effective option for improving pain control after endoscopic treatment of internal hemorrhoids.",[27,28],"Internal Hemorrhoids","Postoperative Pain After Endoscopic Rubber Band Ligation",[27,30,31,32],"Endoscopic Rubber Band Ligation","Postoperative Pain","Nitroglycerin Ointment","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-02-01",{"date":36,"type":37},"2026-02-05","ACTUAL",{"date":34,"type":21},{"date":40,"type":21},"2028-11-30",{"name":42,"class":43},"Ying Zhu","OTHER",{"id":45,"slug":46,"hasResults":11,"nctId":47,"briefTitle":48,"officialTitle":49,"acronym":50,"eligibilityCriteria":51,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":17,"maxAge":52,"enrollmentInfo":53,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":55,"briefSummary":57,"conditions":58,"keywords":60,"overallStatus":33,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":64,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":65,"startDateStruct":67,"completionDateStruct":69,"leadSponsor":71,"locationsCount":72},"100606489","endoscopic-cardial-constriction-ligation-eccl-for-refractory-gerd-using-a-disposable-endoscope-100606489","NCT07176221","Endoscopic Cardial Constriction Ligation (ECCL) for Refractory GERD Using a Disposable Endoscope","Safety and Efficacy of Endoscopic Cardial Constriction Ligation （ECCL） With a Novel Disposable Endoscope: A Multicenter Randomized Controlled Trial","ECCL","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* (1) Age 18-80 years;\n* (2) Disease duration ≥6 months, with typical symptoms such as acid regurgitation and heartburn, and a confirmed diagnosis of GERD;\n* (3) GERD patients whose symptoms are not relieved after 8 weeks of continuous double-dose acid-suppressive therapy;\n* (4) Willing to participate in the study and have signed the informed consent form.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* (1) Patients with precancerous lesions such as early esophageal cancer or Barrett's esophagus \\>3 cm, or advanced upper gastrointestinal cancer identified on endoscopy;\n* (2) Patients with hiatal hernia ≥2 cm, severe reflux esophagitis (LA-C or LA-D grade), esophageal or gastric varices, esophageal ulcer or stenosis, or a history of esophageal or gastric surgery;\n* (3) Patients with esophageal motility disorders such as achalasia or diffuse esophageal spasm, rheumatic diseases such as systemic sclerosis or Sjögren's syndrome, or eosinophilic esophagitis;\n* (4) Patients with a history of endoscopic or surgical anti-reflux procedures;\n* (5) Patients with coagulation disorders, severe cardiopulmonary diseases, or inability to tolerate anesthesia, endoscopy, or treatment;\n* (6) Women in the puerperium.","80 Years",{"count":54,"type":21},46,[56],"NA","This study will recruit patients aged 18-80 with refractory gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
