Emerging evidence highlights the critical need for non-invasive imaging biomarkers to stratify prognosis and guide therapeutic strategies. Notably, the biomechanical properties of PDAC-associated extracellular matrix (ECM), characterized by extensive interstitial fibrosis, are intrinsically linked to tumorigenesis, progression, and metastatic dissemination. Three-dimensional magnetic resonance elastography (3D-MRE), as an advanced imaging modality, enables precise quantification of tissue shear stiffness in both normal pancreatic parenchyma and neoplastic lesions. Significantly, the biomechanical heterogeneity captured by MRE holds untapped potential to serve as a prognostic biomarker for PDAC. Despite its technical merits, no studies to date have systematically explored MRE-derived imaging signatures in predicting PDAC survival outcomes or therapeutic responses, underscoring a pivotal gap in translational oncology research.",[25],"Pancreatic Cancer",[27,28,29,30],"Pancreatic Cancer,","Magnetic Resonance Elastography","Prognosis","Biomechanics","RECRUITING","2026-06-05",{"date":34,"type":35},"2026-06-09","ACTUAL",{"date":37,"type":35},"2020-10-09",{"date":39,"type":21},"2026-12-01",{"name":41,"class":42},"Yu Shi","OTHER",1,{"id":45,"slug":46,"hasResults":11,"nctId":47,"briefTitle":48,"officialTitle":49,"acronym":50,"eligibilityCriteria":15,"healthyVolunteers":51,"sex":16,"minAge":17,"maxAge":18,"enrollmentInfo":52,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":4,"briefSummary":53,"conditions":54,"keywords":57,"overallStatus":31,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":59,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":60,"startDateStruct":62,"completionDateStruct":63,"leadSponsor":65,"locationsCount":43},"100556541","mre-for-diagnosis-of-pancreatic-masses-100556541","NCT06526442","MRE for Diagnosis of Pancreatic Masses","Experimental and Clinical Study of Three-dimensional Magnetic Resonance Elastography to Evaluate Pancreatic Cancer and Interstitial Fibrosis","MREDPCM",true,{"count":20,"type":21},"Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) accounts for 85-95% of pancreatic cancer and is one of the deadliest tumors in the world, with a survival rate of less than 8%, and identifying key prognostic or predictive factors facilitates risk stratification and prospective assessment in clinical trials. The extracellular matrix (ECM) surrounding PDAC often exhibits a large number of interstitial fibrosis, which is closely related to the formation, development and metastasis of PDAC.
