The main questions it aims to answer are:\n\n* What is the impact of external focus (providing velocity of movement for each repetition) compared to internal focus (i.e., no cues, control group) on physical percent velocity loss and neuromuscular activation in older adults with sarcopenia?\n* Does internal and external focus influence motivation and perceptual workload following resistance training in older adults with sarcopenia?\n\nResearchers will compare external focus to internal focus to see if external focus impacts percent velocity loss, motivation, and perceived workload.\n\nParticipants will:\n\n* Visit the lab once per week for 3 weeks\n* Perform exercise testing using a leg press\n* Answer questionnaires regarding perceived workload and motivation before and after exercise",[26,27,28],"Sarcopenia","Sarcopenia in Elderly","Age-associated Muscle Loss",[30,31,32,26,33],"Geriatrics","Neuromuscular","Rehabilitation","Velocity-based training","RECRUITING","2026-03-16",{"date":37,"type":38},"2026-03-18","ACTUAL",{"date":40,"type":38},"2025-08-01",{"date":42,"type":20},"2027-12-31",{"name":44,"class":45},"Creighton University","OTHER"]
