Surgical extraction of impacted lower third molars is one of the most common procedures in oral and maxillofacial surgery and is often associated with postoperative complications such as pain, swelling, delayed healing, and bone defects within the extraction socket.\n\nCGF is an autologous platelet concentrate derived from the patient's venous blood through a specific centrifugation process. It contains a high concentration of growth factors that play a key role in angiogenesis, tissue regeneration, and bone formation. When combined with particulate bone graft material, CGF forms a cohesive structure known as \"sticky bone,\" which can provide both biological stimulation and structural support for bone regeneration.\n\nIn this study, CGF-based sticky bone will be placed into the fresh extraction socket immediately after surgical removal of the impacted mandibular third molar. Participants will be followed clinically and radiographically over a defined postoperative period. Clinical parameters such as pain intensity, soft tissue healing, and postoperative complications will be assessed, while radiographic analysis will be used to evaluate bone density and bone regeneration within the extraction site.\n\nThe findings of this study may contribute to improving regenerative techniques in oral and maxillofacial surgery and provide evidence regarding the potential benefits of CGF-based sticky bone in enhancing postoperative healing and bone regeneration following third molar extraction.",[27,28,29,30],"Impacted Lower Third Molar","Alveolar Bone Regeneration Following Odontectomy","Postoperative Pain Management in Oral Surgery","Concentrated Growth Factor for Extraction Socket Healing",[32,33,34,15,35,36,37,38,39],"Bone regeneration","Concentrated growth factors","Bone density","Surgical extraction","Extraction of lower 3rd molar","Third molar extraction","Postoperative complications","Postoperative pain","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-04-04",{"date":43,"type":44},"2026-04-08","ACTUAL",{"date":46,"type":21},"2026-04-25",{"date":48,"type":21},"2026-10-15",{"name":50,"class":51},"Cairo University","OTHER",{"id":53,"slug":54,"hasResults":11,"nctId":55,"briefTitle":56,"officialTitle":57,"acronym":15,"eligibilityCriteria":58,"healthyVolunteers":59,"sex":17,"minAge":18,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":60,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":61,"briefSummary":62,"conditions":63,"keywords":64,"overallStatus":40,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":65,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":66,"startDateStruct":68,"completionDateStruct":70,"leadSponsor":72,"locationsCount":4},"100632931","evaluating-the-use-of-cgf-made-gel-in-mandibular-extraction-sites-of-lower-impacted-3rd-molars-100632931","NCT07520097","Evaluating The Use of CGF Made Gel in Mandibular Extraction Sites of Lower Impacted 3rd Molars.","Clinical and Radiographic Evaluation of The Use of CGF Gel Packed in Fresh Odontectomy Site of Impacted Lower 3rd Molars (A Case Series Study)","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients aged 18 years or older .\n* Both male and female patients .\n* Patients requiring odontectomy of an impacted lower third molar .\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients who are pre-surgically symptomatic .\n* Use of medications that affect bleeding time or bone remodeling .\n* Patients with a history of radiotherapy or chemotherapy .\n* Patients who are pregnant or lactating .\n* Patients using oral contraceptives .\n* Patients with acute or chronic infections .\n* Patients with any kind of pathology confirmed radiographically .",true,{"count":20,"type":21},[24],"The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if Concentrated Growth Factor (CGF) Gel help improve bone healing and reduce pain after the surgical removal of impacted lower third molars.
