The primary outcome is anesthesia-controlled time, defined as the sum of induction time and emergence time. Secondary outcomes include recovery profiles, postoperative symptoms, quality of recovery, hemodynamic stability, and the incidence of re-sedation. ACL rupture is one of the most common orthopedic injuries, with an estimated incidence of 70 cases per 100,000 people annually. Since its inception, arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (AACLR) has proven to be the gold standard, providing excellent outcomes in terms of graft longevity, return to sports, and patient satisfaction. Modern medical trends are shifting toward day-surgery protocols, where patients are discharged within 24 hours without an overnight stay. This model is identified as a major factor in enhancing the quality of postoperative recovery and patient satisfaction.\n\nThe Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) program utilizes evidence-based multimodal interventions to reduce surgical stress and accelerate functional recovery. While day-surgery for AACLR has been proven feasible globally, its implementation in Vietnam remains limited due to systemic barriers. At the University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City, although ERAS has been applied since 2022, the average length of stay for AACLR is 2.57 days, indicating significant room for optimization. This study aims to evaluate the current compliance with ERAS and the effectiveness of fully implementing these protocols to enable a day-surgery model.\n\nThe research is designed in two phases, including a descriptive cohort and a clinical intervention. The intervention focuses on 06 core ERAS measures:\n\n* Comprehensive preoperative counseling and education.\n* Reducing preoperative fasting by using Maltodextrin 2 hours before surgery.\n* Standardized anesthesia combined with local infiltration analgesia (LIA).\n* Multimodal analgesia to minimize opioid consumption.\n* Early drainage removal within 6-8 hours postoperatively.\n* Immediate postoperative rehabilitation starting in the recovery unit. Effectiveness will be measured through various outcomes: the quality of early recovery via the QoR-15 score, mechanical knee function via the Lysholm Knee Scoring Scale (LKSS), and health-related quality of life via the EQ-5D-5L. Furthermore, a cost-effectiveness analysis (CEA) will be conducted using the Incremental Cost-Effectiveness Ratio (ICER). The study expects to demonstrate that strict ERAS adherence makes day-surgery AACLR feasible, reduces hospital-acquired infections, optimizes operating room productivity, and lessens the financial burden on both patients and the healthcare system.",[67,68,27],"Anterior Cruciate Ligament Rupture","Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) Protocol","2026-05-22",{"date":71,"type":43},"2026-05-28",{"date":73,"type":20},"2026-05-18",{"date":75,"type":20},"2027-06-30",{"name":77,"class":50},"University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City (UMC)",{"id":79,"slug":80,"hasResults":11,"nctId":81,"briefTitle":82,"officialTitle":83,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":84,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":59,"minAge":85,"maxAge":86,"enrollmentInfo":87,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":21,"phases":89,"briefSummary":90,"conditions":91,"keywords":94,"overallStatus":97,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":98,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":99,"startDateStruct":101,"completionDateStruct":103,"leadSponsor":105,"locationsCount":51},"100592096","lipid-emulsion-for-reversal-of-spinal-anesthesia-in-ambulatory-surgery-100592096","NCT06988982","Lipid Emulsion for Reversal of Spinal Anesthesia in Ambulatory Surgery","Lipid Emulsion for Reversal of Spinal Anesthesia in Ambulatory Surgery: A Randomized Controlled Trial","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patient acceptance.\n* Cooperative patient\n* Age 21-70 years old.\n* BMI ≤ 35 kg\u002Fm2\n* ASA I - II.\n* Elective ambulatory surgery under spinal anesthesia (general surgery, urology, gynecology, orthopedic surgery).\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* History of allergy to the LA agents used in this study,\n* Skin lesion at needle insertion site,\n* Those with bleeding disorders, sepsis, liver disease and psychiatric disorders\n* History of cognitive dysfunction or mental illness","21 Years","70 Years",{"count":88,"type":20},42,[64],"Ambulatory surgery places high demands on anesthetic technique. rapid onset and offset of anesthesia, rapid recovery of protective reflexes, mobility and micturition, are required.
