Anisometropic myopia is when the difference in myopia prescription between the two eyes are more than 1 diopter. The main question it aims to answer is:\n\n* How the eye responds to the research spectacles over time by measuring:\n\n 1. Change in axial length: the physical length of the eye from front to back.\n 2. Change in cycloplegic spherical equivalent refraction: an accurate measurement of the eye's prescription taken while the focusing muscles are temporarily relaxed with eye drops.\n\n Participants will:\n* Wear the study spectacles\n* Visit Essilor R\\&D Centre and an eye clinic for follow-up sessions",[27,28],"Anisometropia","Myopia",[30,31,32,33],"myopia control","anisometropia","axial length","spherical equivalent refraction","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-04-09",{"date":37,"type":38},"2026-04-16","ACTUAL",{"date":40,"type":21},"2026-04",{"date":42,"type":21},"2027-07",{"name":44,"class":45},"Essilor International","INDUSTRY",1,{"id":48,"slug":49,"hasResults":11,"nctId":50,"briefTitle":51,"officialTitle":52,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":53,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":16,"minAge":17,"maxAge":54,"enrollmentInfo":55,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":22,"phases":57,"briefSummary":58,"conditions":59,"keywords":61,"overallStatus":34,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":64,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":65,"startDateStruct":67,"completionDateStruct":68,"leadSponsor":70,"locationsCount":46},"100603931","effect-of-light-blocking-lenses-on-hyperopic-anisometropic-children-100603931","NCT07142928","Effect of Light-Blocking Lenses on Hyperopic Anisometropic Children","A Prospective Randomized Controlled Trial on the Effect of Light-Blocking Lenses on Emmetropization in Hyperopic Anisometropic Children","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Aged 6 years or older and 12 years or younger;\n* The more hyperopic eye has a spherical refractive error between +3.0 D and +7.5 D; the less hyperopic eye has a spherical refractive error of at least +2.0 D; cylindrical refractive error between -2.0 D and 0 D; interocular difference in spherical power \\>=1.5 D and in cylindrical power \\\u003C=1.0 D;\n* Best-corrected visual acuity of 0.0 logMAR or better in both eyes;\n* Ocular deviation with spectacles less than 10 prism diopters;\n* Has been wearing standard single-vision spectacles regularly for more than six months;\n* In good general health, capable of receiving the study intervention, and willing to comply with the study protocol;\n* Written informed consent obtained from both the parent\u002Fguardian and the child, with agreement to comply with all study procedures and maintain follow-up availability throughout the study period;\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* History of ocular trauma or eye surgery;\n* Presence of pathological abnormalities on anterior or posterior segment examination, or a history of organic ocular diseases such as cataract, glaucoma, corneal disease, or fundus disorders;\n* Intraocular pressure greater than 21 mmHg;\n* Presence of systemic diseases or other conditions deemed unsuitable for study participation;\n* Any other condition deemed inappropriate for participation in the clinical trial by the investigator;","12 Years",{"count":56,"type":21},90,[24],"To evaluate the effectiveness of light-blocking lenses in promoting emmetropization and reducing anisometropia in children with hyperopic anisometropia, and to assess the impact of light-intercepting lenses on visual function in this population.",[27,60],"Hyperopia",[27,60,62,63],"light-blocking lenses","emmetropization","2025-08-25",{"date":66,"type":38},"2025-08-27",{"date":64,"type":21},{"date":69,"type":21},"2027-06-30",{"name":71,"class":72},"Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, Sun Yat-sen University","OTHER"]
