This research aims to examine the effects of an art-based nursing intervention program in order to help adolescents born into the digital world gain healthy digital habits. The art-based nursing intervention program that helps gain healthy digital habits aims to increase adolescents' expressive expression skills, develop their skills in coping with challenging situations in the digital environment and strengthen their self-efficacy levels through creative art activities. The research is a randomized controlled trial designed as an experimental type, pre-test-post-test design. The research will be carried out in Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Secondary School in Karatay district of Konya province. The sample group was determined as a total of 64 adolescents, 32 intervention and 32 control. Adolescents will be randomly assigned to the intervention and control groups. The pre-test data of the intervention and control groups were collected before the program started; The post-test data will be collected face-to-face by the researcher after the program is completed using the Personal Information Form, Digital Addiction Scale for Children, Revised Cyberbullying Scale (YSZE-II) and Self-Efficacy Scale for Children. It is expected that the digital addiction and cyberbullying levels of adolescents who are applied the art-based nursing intervention program that helps them gain healthy digital habits will be lower than the control group, and their self-efficacy levels will be higher than the control group. It is anticipated that the findings to be obtained as a result of the research will enable the development of creative and holistic intervention approaches that will increase the functionality of school health nurses against the risks posed by the digital age on young people. It is also thought that it can provide an evidence-based basis for the usability of art-based interdisciplinary practices in the field.",[58,29,59,60,61],"Digital Addiction","Cyberbullying","Self Efficacy","Adolescence",[29,58,59,63,64],"Self-Efficacy","Adolescent","RECRUITING","2026-04-21",{"date":68,"type":35},"2026-04-24",{"date":70,"type":35},"2025-10-06",{"date":72,"type":22},"2026-12-31",{"name":74,"class":75},"Selcuk University","OTHER",1,{"id":78,"slug":79,"hasResults":11,"nctId":80,"briefTitle":81,"officialTitle":82,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":83,"healthyVolunteers":49,"sex":17,"minAge":18,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":84,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":23,"phases":86,"briefSummary":88,"conditions":89,"keywords":95,"overallStatus":65,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":105,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":106,"startDateStruct":108,"completionDateStruct":110,"leadSponsor":112,"locationsCount":76},"100594388","phase-3-art-based-pain-assessment-tool-in-patients-with-temporomandibular-joint-disorders-100594388","NCT07018791","Art-Based Pain Assessment Tool in Patients With Temporomandibular Joint Disorders","Assessment of the Impact of Art-Based Pain Assessment Tool on Pain Communication, Joint Function, and Anxiety in Patients With Temporomandibular Joint Disorders: A Randomized Controlled Trial","Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Adults aged 18 years or older\n* Diagnosed with Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD) requiring conservative management only and classified as Wilkes' stage I or II\n* Able to understand and sign the informed consent form\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patients requiring surgical intervention for TMD\n* Presence of severe mental illness, such as psychotic disorders or bipolar affective disorders\n* Regular use of narcotic (opioid) pain medications",{"count":85,"type":22},70,[87],"PHASE3","Title of Study:\n\nAssessment of the Impact of Art-Based Pain Assessment Tool on Pain Communication, Joint Function, and Anxiety in Patients with Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD): A Randomized Controlled Trial\n\nLocation:\n\nKing Abdulaziz University Dental Hospital (KAUFD), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia What Is This Study About?\n\nThis study examines how an art-based tool can help improve communication and understanding of pain among patients with jaw joint disorders (TMD). It compares two groups:\n\n* Standard care: Routine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures\n* Intervention: Standard care plus a guided art-based tool using paintings to express and discuss the TMD experiences What Is the Art-Based Tool?\n\nThis novel method, called the Artistic Pain Exploration (APE), uses paintings to help patients describe their pain that relates to TMD and its effect on their quality of life:\n\n1. Participants will be shown three paintings (e.g., The Scream by Edvard Munch)\n2. Participants will choose the one that best resonates with them\n3. A guided discussion follows, exploring how the image relates to their physical and emotional pain as well as the effect of pain on their daily activities\n\nResearch Questions:\n\n1. Does using the APE method help participants better communicate and understand their pain?\n2. Does it improve jaw function and reduce anxiety more than standard assessment? Who Can Participate?\n\nParticipants may be eligible if they:\n\n* Are 18 years or older\n* Have early-stage TMD (not needing surgery)\n* Can give informed consent\n\nParticipants cannot participate if they:\n\n* Require jaw surgery\n* Have severe mental illness (e.g., psychosis or bipolar disorder)\n* Take narcotic pain medications regularly What Will Happen During the Study?\n* Participants are randomly assigned to one of the two groups.\n* Each participant will complete a standardized questionnaire before and after two weeks to assess the level of anxiety.\n* All participants will be screened for depression via a standardized questionnaire before the first visit.\n* All will undergo a clinical exam to assess the TMJ pain and function and receive appropriate medications and lifestyle instructions.\n* Some participants (intervention group) will also discuss their pain using the artwork.\n* All participants will be seen for a follow up in 2 weeks to assess the TMJ function and pain.\n\nPotential Risks and Discomforts\n\nParticipants may experience:\n\n* Emotional discomfort while discussing pain\n* Mild anxiety during interviews or questionnaires If needed, a psychiatrist on the research team will provide support or referrals.\n\nPotential Benefits\n\n* A better understanding of pain\n* Improved communication with care provider\n* Possible improvement in pain and jaw function\n\nCosts There are no costs to participate.
