Adults aged 18-60 years with confirmed AITD will undergo baseline assessment including demographic data, anthropometric measures, lifestyle factors, medical history, thyroid-related clinical information, thyroid function, and thyroid antibody testing. A baseline blood sample will be collected for measurement of islet autoantibodies (GADA, IA-2A, ZnT8A, and IAA). Participants with positive islet autoantibodies will undergo further evaluation of glucose metabolism and beta-cell function, including HbA1c, OGTT, insulin, and C-peptide testing. Genome-wide genetic data will be used to construct a type 1 diabetes-related genetic risk score, and additional HLA genotyping may be performed in autoantibody-positive participants. The study will assess the prevalence and profile of islet autoantibodies in AITD and identify clinical, laboratory, and genetic factors associated with islet autoantibody positivity.",[26],"Autoimmune Thyroid Disease",[28,29,30],"AITD","Islet autoantibodies","type 1 diabetes","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-03-20",{"date":34,"type":35},"2026-03-27","ACTUAL",{"date":37,"type":21},"2026-08-31",{"date":39,"type":21},"2028-04-30",{"name":41,"class":42},"Nanjing Medical University","OTHER",{"id":44,"slug":45,"hasResults":11,"nctId":46,"briefTitle":47,"officialTitle":48,"acronym":49,"eligibilityCriteria":50,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":51,"minAge":17,"maxAge":52,"enrollmentInfo":53,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":23,"phases":4,"briefSummary":55,"conditions":56,"keywords":58,"overallStatus":31,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":64,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":65,"startDateStruct":67,"completionDateStruct":69,"leadSponsor":71,"locationsCount":73},"100587208","changes-in-natural-immunity-in-pregnant-women-with-autoimmune-thyroid-disease-100587208","NCT06925399","Changes in Natural Immunity in Pregnant Women With Autoimmune Thyroid Disease","Dynamic Changes of Innate Immune Cells in Pregnant Women With Autoimmune Thyroid Disease","CIPAT","Inclusion Criteria: adult healthy pregnant women and pregnant women with autoimmune thyroid disease\n\n* with a single pregnancy\n* older than 18 years\n* who have signed the informed consent form\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* pregnant women who refuse to give informed consent\n* pregnant women under the age of 18\n* pregnant women with malignant diseases\n* pregnant women with thyrotoxicosis or hypothyroidism of a non-autoimmune nature and previous thyroidectomy or ablative therapy with iodine-131\n* pregnant women with an acute or chronic disease that is not an autoimmune thyroid disease","FEMALE","45 Years",{"count":54,"type":21},80,"Autoimmune thyroid disease (AITD) is the most common endocrine disorder in women of reproductive age, including during pregnancy. It encompasses two clinical conditions: autoimmune hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. Pregnancy significantly affects thyroid function regulation, while thyroid dysfunction can influence fertility, pregnancy progression, and the postpartum health. Although the role of acquired immunity in AITD is well understood, recent research increasingly emphasizes innate immunity. Key cells involved in innate immunity include neutrophils, monocytes, and NKT cells. However, limited data exist on their role during pregnancy, especially in women with AITD.\n\nThis study aims to investigate the dynamic changes in neutrophils, monocytes and NKT cells during pregnancy and compare findings between women with normal pregnancies and those with AITD.\n\nThe study will analyze the frequency and activation status of these innate immune cells in peripheral blood samples collected during the first, second, and third trimesters. In addition, concentrations of thyrotropin, thyroid hormones, thyroglobulin, and thyroid autoantibodies, will be measured. A thyroid ultrasound will also be performed.",[57,26],"Pregnancy",[57,59,60,61,62,63],"Autoimmune thyroid disease","Innate immunity","NKT cells","Monocytes","Neutrophils","2025-04-06",{"date":66,"type":35},"2025-04-13",{"date":68,"type":21},"2025-05-01",{"date":70,"type":21},"2027-05-01",{"name":72,"class":42},"University of Rijeka",1]
