The patient has exhausted all conventional therapies, both surgical and medical, at considerable detriment to their quality of life. The treatment involves 2 intra-articular injections of bacteriophages into the joint and surrounding area and 14 days of intravenous phage therapy. The goal is to eliminate the infection and prevent further complications, providing a potential new treatment avenue for patients with difficult-to-treat infections.",[25,26],"Prosthetic Joint Infections of Hip","Bacteriophage Therapy",[28,29,30],"Bacteriophage","Periprosthetic joint infection","Phage therapy","NOT_YET_RECRUITING","2026-03-04",{"date":34,"type":35},"2026-03-10","ACTUAL",{"date":37,"type":18},"2026-03",{"date":39,"type":18},"2027-03",{"name":41,"class":42},"University of Calgary","OTHER",{"id":44,"slug":45,"hasResults":11,"nctId":46,"briefTitle":47,"officialTitle":48,"acronym":4,"eligibilityCriteria":49,"healthyVolunteers":11,"sex":50,"minAge":51,"maxAge":4,"enrollmentInfo":52,"targetDuration":4,"studyType":19,"phases":53,"briefSummary":54,"conditions":55,"keywords":4,"overallStatus":31,"whyStopped":4,"lastUpdateSubmitDate":58,"lastUpdatePostDateStruct":59,"startDateStruct":61,"completionDateStruct":63,"leadSponsor":65,"locationsCount":4},"100625940","phase-1-bacteriophage-for-chronic-multidrug-resistant-mycobacterium-abscessus-subsp-abscessus-pulmonary-infection-100625940","NCT07429162","Bacteriophage for Chronic Multidrug-Resistant Mycobacterium Abscessus Subsp.
